St. Rose School We Exist To Bring The Catholic Faith To Life Messenger February 2019 Principal’s Message I’ve shared off and on throughout the school year but I’d like to offer a reminder to all our families that our students, teachers, staff, and volunteers are listening and learning everyday...It was even shared by Gabe during his speech at our CSW Mass… Read this to your family; share around your dinner table or during your family time… Use the language of “forming good habits” with your children. The children respond very well to the language of virtue and want to share. “The Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue ® is a Christian curriculum structured on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas regarding the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit. It aims to provide a consistent structure and systematic instruction for youth to learn about the virtues so that they can form the habits and dispositions necessary to live as disciples of Jesus Christ . This curriculum emphasizes Christian discipleship as indispensable toward human flourishing and the quest for joy. It has been developed in response to the call for a New Evangelization, firmly conveying the reality that happiness is found in a life of holiness. This call to discipleship is extended not only to the students but also to their parents, the faculty, the staff, and the administration. It is the fruit of a personal encounter with Christ which affects one’s intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social life.” From... Box Tops Winter Class Competition!

Thank you to everyone who submitted box tops for the Fall Class Competition! Ms. Sardo’s 6th grade class won and enjoyed a delicious lunch from Riverside

Pizzeria. Congratulations again to Ms. Sardo’s class!

Our Winter Box Tops competition will award free dress and a treat of cocoa and cookies to the class that brings in the most box tops by Friday, February 22nd!

Each student who submits a full sheet of box tops will receive a gift card for the choice of small frozen lemonade, chocolate chunk cookies, small ice cream cone,

or a small milkshake from Chick-Fil-A!

Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10¢ for our school! Just look for the pink Box Tops on hundreds of

products. All you have to do is clip them and send them to school.

Last school year, we earned $753 for our school from Box Tops. This school year, our goal is to earn $1000.00.

For more information on Box Tops, including a list of participating products, go to BTFE.com. Be sure to sign up as a member (it’s free!) so you can check out

our school’s earnings details and get access to coupons and bonus offers.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here to help make our school’s Box Tops for Education™ program a huge success this year.

Thank you!

Jill Duffy
