Operations
The UPK Implementation Process
• Identified a need• Talked to organisations who used the tool• Attended demonstrations – prebuilt & from scratch• Sourced assistance with topic development• Identified SME’s within the business• Topic development & GO LIVE
What Worked Well?
• Identifying at the early stages of the JDE upgrade project that we needed this tool
• Being able to draw from other business’ experience• Good SME’s and trainers• Tracking topic development progress, including
prioritising group of topics
What Didn’t Work So Well
• Being unable to turn usage tracking on at the time of ‘GO LIVE’
• Wasn’t clear enough about the ‘topic language’ with the developers
• On going resourcing support• Ensuring the tool was well utilised for new starters and
internal role changes
What has happened since GO LIVE?
• UPK Effectiveness Review• Resourcing re-assessment• Upgrade to version 3.6.1.• Using WCBF UPK topics at a third party supplierSTILL TO DO• Context sensitive HELP linked to UPK• Development of UPK topics outside of E1
Some Change Management Learnings
