Eligibility Criteria

Youth Ages 12-17Must be attending Tx for SUD primary

diagnoses; and/orMust have attended Tx for SUD primary

diagnoses sometime in the past; and/or Participant acknowledges that they are in

recovery convincingly to program staff (validated by CRAFFT Screen)

Overview

Adolescent Club Houses will use primarily recovery support services, peers and activities to promote pro-social activities and ways of life for troubled youth;

They will also serve as a mechanism of referral for those not presently in treatment;

Cultivate peer leadership by utilizing youth peers with lived experience and create a sense of ownership among you participants and their families, loved ones

All 6 programs began in late February/March 2013

Program Evaluation

Three-pronged approach Qualitative developmental evaluation of each program:

challenges; victories; emerging best practices etc. Multi-site uniform data set using CRAFFT data taken

at 30, 60, 90 day intervals of program inception….to demonstrate whether the data reveals any improvement in youth who attend the club houses for longer periods;

Consumer satisfaction survey addressing what participants liked and didn’t like; thought was most/least helpful about their club house experience; what made an impact on their drug use and changes to pro-social behavior
