P uede ser que el templo se vea co-mo un templo

Católico o que tie-nen allí una imagen de la Virgen de Guadalu-pe o de otros Santos Católicos. También puede ser que el pastor se viste como sacerdo-te y que allí dan ‘Misas’. Nada de esto garantiza que son Católicos verdaderos en comunión con el Papa Francisco.

Tristemente, hay un numero creciente de sectas nuevas que insisten que son 'Católicas' pero re-chazan la autoridad del Papa y las demás doctrinas Católicas. Confunden a la gente no instruida que va en busca de los Sacramentos de la Iglesia.

¡Cuidado con aquellas sectas! Y dese cuenta: un Católico debe asistir a Misa y recibir los Sacramentos solamente en una parroquia ‘registrada’ con la Iglesia Católica, Apostólica y Romana. Si no, los llamados ‘Sacramentos’ recibidos no son lícitos en los ojos de la Iglesia Católica, Apostólica y Romana.

Every FIRST SATUR-DAY OF THE MONTH the Holy Mass will be offered at 8:00 a.m. to enable those who wish to heed the call of Our La-dy of Fatima to observe the FIVE FIRST SAT-URDAYS. Over 5 con-secutive Saturdays, the Blessed Virgin Mary is asking the faithful to (1) go to Confession; (2) receive Holy Communion; (3) pray 5 decades of the Holy Rosary and (4) spend 15 minutes meditating on the 15 Myster-ies of the Rosary in reparation for the blasphe-mies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

ADORATION for VOCATIONS Every Thursday the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar and remains there until Solemn Benediction at 5:00pm.

We are inviting the faithful of our parish to spend one hour in silent adoration before Je-sus in the Most Blessed Sacra-ment.

Will you join us in praying for (1) vocations to the priesthood and (2) the sanctification of priests. You may also bring your own personal intentions.

Holy Innocents currently has 3 young men who are preparing, God willing, for the priesthood. (1) Matt Wheeler, who will be ordained a transitional deacon this August; (2) Isaac Camarillo who is entering his second year and (3) Brendan Strickland who is be-ginning is first year in August, both at Our Lady of the Angels Center for Priestly Formation. Please pray for them that they may persevere in their dis-cernment and for other young men and boys of our parish who are seriously considering the vocation to the priesthood.

FATHER McGOWAN WILL BE HONORED

All parishioners are invited to join the Ser-ra Clubs of Los Ange-les at the annual Ordi-nati Luncheon where we will celebrate the ordination of FATHER ROBERT McGOWAN and all the newly or-dained priests of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The luncheon will take place on WEDNESDAY, SEP-TEMBER 13, at the Sportsman’s Lodge, Coldwater Can-yon at Ventura Blvd., Studio City. A reception begins at 11:00 am and lunch is at Noon. Tickets are $50.
