Housekeeping is not just cleanliness. It includes keeping workplaces orderly; maintaining halls and floors free of slip and trip hazards and the build up of waste material (e.g. paper, cardboard) and other such fire hazards. It also requires paying attention to the workplace as a whole, looking at the process in a systematic manner. This includes aisle markings, the adequacy of storage and the maintenance of the building as well as equipment.
