Peter, Alaaldeen & Reza welcomed all attendees of the IPD/CPD/PRI workshop and gave attendees a quick introduction, a venue safety briefing, inclusive of some other welfare arrangements.

Peter Bohan delivered a motivational speech to the attendees & young students and his journey of being an exceptional Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH) from the RSP designation and encouraged the members/non-

members to continue the Professional Development/CPD to demonstrate a lifelong learning.

Alaaldeen presented the aim and objectives of the workshop and potential outcomes to the attendees on their professional development.

Reza highlighted the significance of the achieving the IOSH Chartered Membership Status and Continual Professional Development for the health & safety professionals in the State of Qatar and as well as global

mobility of OSH Practitioners &Professionals with the IOSH Chartered Membership designation.

Overview of the Presentation 1–By Alaaldeen (IPD/CPD -Coordinator)

IOSH Professional Development Presentation- Presented a broad overview of the IPD & CPD for the TechIOSH

& GradIOSH members, and at the same time the value and the significance of maintaining the CPD was explained with the help of CPD Interactive user guide vers1BP.

IPD- Detail analysis was presented to the members who comes with the diverse background and different entry

routes to Graduate Membership and expressed their interest to achieve CMIOSH status (i.e. NVQ Level-5,

NEBOSH Dip OSH, IOSH Accredited Degree/Post Graduate Degrees and Cognate Degrees. OR via MOU with BCSP, USA& BCRSP, Canada.

IPD – EOA Assessment Process was also explained in a sequential manner for the in-depth understanding of

the methodology and its objectives.

Carrying out effective networking & quick chat with the other attendees in the meeting and provided

one to one information’s.

Overview of the Presentation 2–By Mehboob Reza ( Vice Chair)

Skill Development Portfolio& Road to CMIOSH- The 3 Stage process of completing the IPD for the

NEBOSH Dip OSH, IOSH Accredited Degree/Post Graduate Degrees and Cognate Degrees holders was delivered

in a very practical manner in line with the IOSH standard methodology and in a comprehensive manner i.e. step by step techniques was shown to the members with one of the most recent & assessed SDP’s IOSH existing

IOSH member.

Vital key advises how to pass the CPD audits and successfully complete the PRI interview to achieve the CMIOSH

status. Lastly, one to one question & answer opportunities was provided to the members to clear all their doubt’s and queries in the most professional, simple and ethical manner to accomplish the aims & objectives of the

workshop.
