CONGESTION–affects most passenger transportation modes, there is danger of reaching gridlock, means delays that are serious of time and energy

AIRLINE INDUSTRY•Airline industry grew from an infant to a giant

•The world’s airline industry now carries over1.6 billion passengers per year

•In 2003, the world airline industry survived SARS, the conflict in Iraq, terrorism, and a sluggish economy and also the price of oil denied profitability again

•Cruising is popular in Europe, the Carribean, North America, Japan and Australia

•For passengers, Cruise’ advantage includesone-time baggage check-in and check-out, opportunities to meet a lot of people and traveling in luxurious hotel.

AUTOMOBILE•A poor road system costs the individual driver, the bus operator, and other users additional funds in terms of increased fuel use and vehicle maintenance, and the knowledge that the highway is in poor condition may cause the traveler to select another destination to avoid the problem

•Key feature of the automobile is immediate accessibility and convenience

•Air is the primary competitor to the automobile when it comes to travel especially for long trip

Rental Cars– maybe hired for a specific period of time (for instance, minimum of 5 hours up to 24hours)- rates vary according to the car model, the length of the rental (hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly) and whether the passenger will drive the car or require a driver

Rental Cars - gas is usually not included in the rates- to rent a car, customer must present a validdriver’s license- customer must pay a penalty if she or he returns the car late

Taxicabs– relatively expensive form of ground transportation used primarily for intra-city travel and shuttling between transportation terminal and hotel- ideal way of going about towns for tourist who are not familiar with the destination
