Booking Terms and Conditions By booking a Course from this brochure you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions stated here.

Full payment must be made for the Course Booking to be confirmed. This applies when delegates are paying the fees or when the employer or other sponsoring organisation is paying the fees on their behalf.

Using your ILA Account Some of the courses in this Brochure are marked as ILA Eligible, (see Index) which means that you may use all or part of your annual ILA allowance. A deposit is required for your place to be booked on the course if you are going to be using your ILA account to pay for this course.

If the ILA Account is intended to cover the full cost of the Course this deposit will be 25% of the Course fee, with a minimum payment of £25.00.

If the ILA Account is not intended to cover the full cost of the Course this deposit will be the full balance which you would be due to pay.

You will need to provide your ILA Account Number if known at the time of booking. If you do not yet have this set up (i.e. the Course being booked may be in the following year) then the ILA Account should be submitted as soon as you get this set up. The last point at which the ILA Account Number can be submitted is 2 weeks before the Course Start Date – otherwise you will be unable to use the ILA Account towards this Course, however you may pay in full to retain your booking.

As the provider of the training, we need your account number to enrol you for this course on the ILA website. Once this has been done the ILA will send you an ILA token. As soon as the course has started you need to submit this ILA token to our Finance Service so we can again update the ILA website and obtain the funding direct from the ILA to cover (some or all of) your course fees. Each ILA token issued has an expiry date which is the last possible date we can access the funds to pay for the course. However it is recommended that you submit the ILA token as soon as the course has started.

If the ILA Account is covering the full cost of the course once your token has been submitted to Finance Services – and as long as it is before the Expiry Date – then this deposit will be fully refunded.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not submit your ILA token by the expiry date you will be due to pay the full amount for the course.

Cancellations and TransfersIf you are booked on a course and need to cancel or transfer, please phone Customer Services as soon as possible. The following will apply to all delegates, including those intending to use ILA funding.

Carnegie College/Carnegie Enterprise Limited reserves the right to cancel the Course if necessary and will offer a transfer to the next course to any delegates affected with no additional charges. If no future courses are suitable a full refund of payments made will be arranged.

Using a Fee Waiver Some of the courses in this brochure are Fee Waiver Eligible. Please contact Customer Services to find out if the course you wish to apply for is eligible for a fee waiver.

For these courses if you meet the eligibility criteria you can claim a fee waiver and will therefore not need to make payment for the course. In order to have your place confirmed you must post/bring in proof of your eligibility. Once this has been viewed by staff your place will be booked and you will receive confirmation by post.

You may post a photocopy of your proof if this is more suitable, but you will still be required to bring in the original documentation on the first day of the course so your Fee Waiver Status can be confirmed – otherwise we are obliged to charge the full price of the course.

If you need to cancel your attendance please ensure that you phone Customer Services on 0844 248 0115 so your place can be freed up for another person to attend.

If you do not inform Customer Services in advance of the first day of the course then we will update your records to prevent you from booking on future courses until you make a payment of £25 Non-cancellation charge.

During the last five years we have invested over £8 million to ensure that we provide our clients with innovative training environments that are very much state of the art, encompassing modern delivery concepts. The main base in Halbeath, Dunfermline is only part of a much bigger dynamic multi-site organisation.

Carnegie has a modern well-equipped Conference and Events Centre, situated on-site in Dunfermline. Customers can also choose to have on-site training at their own business premises or an alternative venue that suits their individual needs.

Carnegie Conference Centre is a modern, purpose built, training and conference facility with an enviable choice of 23 meeting/conference rooms including 2 PC training suites and video conference facilities. Carnegie Conference Centre received the Eat Safe award in March 2008 demonstrating that the venue has observed the highest standards of Food Safety Management.

Situated just 20 minutes from Edinburgh, off the M90 motorway, we offer flexible, affordable solutions to meet the needs of all meeting and event organisers. With free private parking and excellent public transport links, we are the ideal venue choice for delegates travelling from all over Scotland.

All of our rooms have natural daylight and provide a comfortable environment with easy access to phones, email and internet. As well as having our own restaurant and dedicated IT support team, we offer additional services such as video recording with live feeds between breakout rooms, audio recording and editing, live web streaming and interactive voting equipment.

To enable us to offer our unrivalled facilities without the need to commute each day, we offer a 24 Hour Residential Conference Package in partnership with the 82 bedroom, on-site Express by Holiday Inn. This package which offers excellent value for money, is ideal for delegates attending AGM’s, corporate away days, celebratory dinners and conferences.
