Behind the barn’s graceful aesthetics, is a modern infrastructure. State

of the art underfloor heating means the barn is warm and comfortable

whatever the weather throws at you. Abundant power points give plenty of

flexibility for music, loudspeakers and lighting. Our very elegant toilets are

integral to the barn with plenty of space for hanging coats and hats.

There is good fibre-optic wi-fi throughout. The spacious and functional

catering area has separate access both to the outside and into the barn for

ease of service.

The exquisite grounds and gardens of Tall John’s House with views across

the Black Mountains make the perfect position for your big day – there is a

wealth of choices for drinks, photo opportunities and freedom to explore.

The enchanting walled garden with its rose bower, rill, double swing and

arbour is peaceful and romantic – perfect for a few minutes away from the

hustle and bustle to savour your big day. Perhaps, if the weather is good,

enjoy drinks on the lawns, listen to the bees under the ancient weeping lime

tree and gaze out at the magnificent hills opposite.

We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in a number of different areas. If

the weather is kind our enchanting pagoda nestled under the beech trees in

the garden is a most picturesque and attractive setting looking out across

Alternatively we can offer civil ceremonies in the barn itself, in our newly

refurbished Granary or, for small numbers we can offer the drawing-room

of the Manor House.Llangasty Church is an enchanting little church set in

a magnificent position on the shores of Llangorse Lake, a mere 1 ½ miles

away. It has a maximum capacity for 100 people and is a very special place.

For a bigger wedding, St Paulinus’ Church in Llangorse, 4 miles away, can

hold at least 200 people.

From the outside gaze upon a simple, historic granary but open the doors

and step inside to a transformed space -serene, peaceful and well ...

magical.

The granary is an extraordinarily enchanting and intimate space for either a

civil ceremony or as part of a reception or party area for weddings.

The double height ceiling, adorned with beautiful, swooping, feather-light

linen tenting creates a feeling of romance and fairy-tale memories. Be

prepared to be swept away by the exposed, fairy lit beams and garlanded

minstrels gallery- this dreamy, peaceful space is full of heart.... and with a

capacity of 120 people is deceptively functional and diverse too.

Included in our wedding package fee is the rental of Honeysuckle Cottage for

two nights which makes ideal accommodation for family, friends, people to

help decorate or on the night it can be a crèche or family room. Honeysuckle

has three ensuite bedrooms upstairs – These rooms are all light and airy

with glowing wooden floors.

Downstairs a very generous and well-fitted kitchen opens through double

doors into an extremely spacious reception room with generous seating

both at the dining table at one end and also on sofas in front of the television

at the other. There is a fourth double bedroom with shower downstairs. The

cottage has a private paved courtyard with chairs and a table for outdoor

sitting or eating.

After the wedding day of your dreams spend your first night as a married

couple in our romantic Coachmans Cottage. Here you can enjoy the

tranquillity of the Welsh valleys and the breathtakingly beautiful night skies.

Included in the wedding package fee is one night in this self-contained

cottage with an exquisitely decorated and spacious bedroom with super

king bed. The handcrafted tongue-and-groove woodwork, the glowing

wooden floor and the soft grey and gentle blue colour palette lend the whole

room a feeling of tranquillity and romance. The en suite high-spec bathroom

with bath and power shower is complete with plenty of large, fluffy towels,

soaps, shampoos and hair-dryer. The generous windows make the room

light and relaxed and the outside door onto a tiny balcony overlooking the

valley and the Black Mountains beyond is well worth waking up for.

Wake up to a delicious breakfast basket, including fresh pastries and fruit,

delivered to your door.

We are delighted to offer you the option to have your own stunning private

manor house, decorated and furnished to a high standard during your

wedding celebrations. The property is an ideal choice for the bridal party

and extended family to make the most of their time together. Our charming

and efficient staff will be on hand to help you enjoy your stay. Tall John’s

House has accommodation of 11 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms

and can accommodate up to 19 people.

Exclusive use of the entire house with its elegant receptions rooms and

comfortable bedrooms can be taken by the bridal party but the manor

house is not open to other wedding guests. Rooms can also be taken on an

individual basis. Breakfast is included in the accommodation and our team

are delighted to provide other meals for the bridal party if desired.

Whether you choose to hire the Manor House with the barn or not, you can

rest assured that the venue is completely private and exclusive- no passers

by watching your special day but only your nearest and dearest. With only

one wedding booked each week-end you haven’t got to share it with

to source all your own of everything. But planning your wedding is a big

job- a fun, exciting job, but also a time consuming one! If you would like to
