To view results, double click on the cable label of the result to be viewed. and the plot

window will open up with detailed plots.

To print a PDF report of the test result click on the print icon on the top left corner of the

plot window and a print dialog box is launched. Please choose the printer to be your

default pdf writer and generate professional reports for the test.

The WX4500-FA WireXpert kit comes with all the accessories necessary perform acertification test upto CAT6A or Class EA limit in either channel and permanent linkconfiguration. Additionally if you purchased Fiber certification or CLASS FA certificationoptions you will also be provided with additional equipment. A calibration certificate with the date of calibration and validity guarantees accuracy of measurements on your WireXpert for that period. Even though the local and remote units are exactly identical for convinience, the test results are stored only in the local unit.

REPORTXPERT

Insert a USB flash drive into the host USB port of the “LOCAL” WireXpert.

The user interface will guide you through the copying process for test results into the flash

drive

ReportXpert software is the PC based software that allows you to manage data from

different projects and prepare job reports in pdf format. The installation executable is

located in the USB flash drive that is supplied with the standard kit. After installing the

software on a PC, run the software from the desktop shortcut. To upload test results from

the device into the PC, create a new project from the splash screen. Select “Import Test

Results” from the tools menu and select the flash drive with the test results to complete

uploading.

Installation

Once WireXpert has been setup correctly to perform a certification, Autotest can be

started by clicking on the Autotest button. Once the test is complete, the WireXpert will

show a summary result screen with PASS/FAIL result. The tests can be initiated or saved

from either units, local or remote. But the actual data resides only in the local unit only and

it is sufficient to copy the results from the local unit irrespective of which unit the SAVE is

initiated from.

Autotest and Saving Results

WireXpert allows you to perform both permanent link and channel configuration tests on

any link. Before performing the autotest WireXpert needs to be setup with the appropriate

limits and test configuration, either channel or permanent link. The setup can be done

from the SETUP menu under the “Test Settings” tab as shown below.

To power ON WireXpert Press the power button for 2 seconds

To power OFF WireXpert press the power button for 5 seconds

Most of the WireXpert configuration can be changed at either the Test Settings page or the

System settings page.

Though the local and remote WireXperts are exactly identical interms of hardware the

functionality is slightly different between them in two ways. Only the local unit can display

graphical plots. Secondly, all the test results are always stored in the local unit. The unit

can be identified to be a local or a remote unit by looking at the top left corner of the user

interface display.

When the kit is shipped to you the test

cord and the adapter are packed

separately. Please insert and test cord into

the Permanent Link adapter as shown in

the figure to perform Permanent Link

configuration tests.
