Feast of Christ the King

This week we end our liturgical year by pondering Christ as King and Lord of all. Pick up something from our Resource Display today and commit to spending a little time each day seeking to make Him Lord of your own life. Thank you for your generous donations that help to support the Mission of Stewardship: A Mission of Faith and Lighthouse Catholic Media to bring these resources to more parishes.

A Message from the St Vincent de Paul Society

Today, as we celebrate Christ the King, may we open the door of our heart so wide that we may listen to the voice of Jesus calling us to help build his kingdom here on earth.

In the month of November, through your gifts, the Society of St Vincent de Paul was able to

help build the kingdom of God by assisting families with food, shelter,

utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You!

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

We are gathered here as Your family, Oh Lord. As a family of faith and love,

we give You thanks. As Your guests at the table of life,

we are grateful that You have set a place for us. As Your children,

we strive to follow You in all we do. As servants to Your will,

we acknowledge the gift of Your understanding and mercy.

As Your stewards, we are filled with wonder in the presence of

Your mighty deeds and accept our responsibilities in Your service.

As Your heirs, we are humbled by the bounty You have given us, for each beat of our heart and

each breath that we draw, is ours only through Your grace.

And, as your family, we shout Your name and give You all glory and honor, praise and thanks.

Amen

The STA Christmas Committee has begun its advice of service to our parish families. Let’s work together to

make this the best “Giving Tree” ever!! The “Giving Tree” will be available for all parishioners to take an

ornament (or two) beginning November 5th. Please help us make another family’s Christmas brighter, especially the children. Gift Cards may be placed in the baskets or dropped off at the Parish Office. If you know of a family or someone who is in need of some help this holiday, please put their name and telephone in a sealed envelope, label it “Christmas Confidential” and place it in the collection basket or drop it off at the Parish Office. Our parish families will be our first consideration. For additional information contact the Parish Office at (215) 788-2989. All calls are confidential.
