Join the Greatest Show on Earth!
It’s that time of the year again. Time to make plans to join St. Philip’s Vacation Bible School 2019.
“Transformation Under the Big Top” We are excited to explore the TRANSFORMATIVE power of God’s love and his Creation. Snacks! Skits! Music! Games! Crafts!
We welcome children who have completed Kindergarten to 5th grade. PreK3 and PreK4 kids are limited to St. Philip’s members who will help with VBS.
All youth and adult volunteers should register online.
All youth volunteers should plan to attend a training meeting at noon on July 14. We will also set up for VBS and we need all hands available!
We are in need of a college-aged student or adult to run games. Please contact Leahbeth Turpin at [email protected] if you are available.
Register online at: http://stphilips.dioms.org/Worship/vacation-bible-

Though our children are enjoying summer vacation, we are excitedly planning our upcoming Sunday School year for 2019-2020. We are looking for any volunteers who might be interested in assisting one Sunday a month or helping teach a Sunday School class.
Please reach out to Virginia Hollingsworth, Director of Christian Education at [email protected] if you are interested.

Altar Flower Dedications
The Giving of Altar Flowers on Sunday is a wonderful way to celebrate and/or remember our
loved ones. There are many open dates on the calendar (located on the bulletin board, in the
narthex.) We encourage at least two people to give flowers each Sunday. The cost is $55.00 per
person/family.
DEDICATING ALTAR FLOWERS IS NOW EASIER
You can now complete an online request for altar flower dedications: http://stphilips.dioms.org/

EFM (Education for Ministry) at St. Philip’s will resume in September. We meet from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Thursday, usually in the church library. Rita Hill and Carol Parker will be serving as Mentors. We have several returning members this year and we welcome new members. EFM is open to everyone. Even if you have taken EFM in the past and would like to take the course again, please consider doing so. The program has changed quite a bit over the last few years. Since Rita is out of town and won’t be returning for a few more weeks, please contact Carol Parker for more information. 601.955.0248 text or call (voice mail is sporadic on this number—better to text) 601.825.7769 (home) or email [email protected]
