SportWaysWith over 23 years of experi-ence, SportWays is the oldest and most successful organizer

of hockey camps in Europe. Over this period of time, we have

organized fi eld hockey camps inthe Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Spain,

England, France, Africa and the USA. Also we are the offi cial partner of the European Hockey Federation. Every summer over 3000 hockey players participate in our residential camps and many more in our clinics and tours. We only work with the best national and international players and coaches, the best hockey facilities and a vastly experienced team of staff & trainers. The camps are international with participants and staff from all over the world. Alongside our well-known hockey camps, SportWays also organises specialised goalie camps. The language of communication used in our camps is both Dutch and English with French also used in Antwerp.

Quality and ExperienceSportWays’ emphasis is on quality. This encompasses both our hockey pro-gram and the social events at our residential camps. Fun & Learning are the main characteristics of all SportWays camps and years of experience in both our organisation and our staff is a solid base for success. Each year the training programs are developed by Dutch premier league coaches, players and the technical staff of various national teams to focus on the latest developments in hockey. This way the participants are guaranteed to learn the very latest techniques in the sport. We distinguish ourselves by paying maximum attention to the individual player and it is our mission that a SportWays camp should be a special experience for each participant, regardless of his or her level of ability.

Top staff, players and coachesTop players and coaches exclusively appear at our camps. These profes-sional trainers, experienced in coaching and managing young players, su-pervise all SportWays camps. This year, Paul van Ass (the Dutch national coach), his assistant Thomas Tichelman as well as Martijn Drijver (the Dutch national goalie coach) were all involved in the creation of our 2013 technical program.

Unique locations and sporting facilitiesAll our sports facilities are top class. In Amsterdam we are guests at the national training centre of the Royal Dutch Hockey Association (KNHB) with 7 sand-based and 6 water-based pitches (Wagener stadium). In Barcelona we use the outstanding facilities of Atlètic Terrassa Hockey Club with 2 water-based pitches, a sand-based pitch, tennis and pádel courts and a swimming pool. In Antwerp we will be staying at the Royal Hockey Club Dragons with a sand-based and two water-based pitches and extensive sports facilities, which will guarantee a great hockey experience. In Amsterdam, Antwerp and Barcelona participants will sleep in professional tents. Only during the EHF Excellence Hockey Camp Barcelona players will sleep in an indoor hall. A professional catering company prepares all our meals.

The Classic of all Hockey Camps…! This camp has the perfect balance of both hockey as well as other activities. The camp will offer you the unique opportunity to spend time practicing tricks and special dribbles with top players from the Dutch national competition. But we will also play Unihockey and participate in the muddy Survival! Each morning there will be brand new hockey clinics such as Adrenaline, Duelpower, Dutch Scoring Square and Speed of Handling! In the afternoon you’ll play the Classic Tournament.Goalies always get a special treatment at this camp with a specially designed program. The SportWays social staff will fi ll the evening program. They will organize all kinds of exciting activities and great parties - all based around a central theme. Sports, parties and new friends… this week will be classic!

Hockey RevolutionThanks to the cooperation of SportWays TD’s and national top coaches and players, it is possible for you to learn the latest techniques!Every year they gather for ten days in our famous SportWays Lab in Barcelona to write, improve and innovate the technical program. KadishGoing to your club, playing hockey with your friends, and a nice meal waiting for you when you get home. For most of us this is as expected, but in a country like Zambia this is defi nitely not an obvious thing. The Kadish Foundation focuses on training young Zambians to become a hockey coach.This enables them to make a good living and to motivate many more kids to do sports! SportWayssupports Kadish by paying the salary of one coach each year, and by involving him or her in ourcamps as a staff member. This gives our camps a tropical touch and improves the training andcoaching ability of the Zambian staff member which he or she can use in Zambia.

The Top Hockey Camp is legendary! The real hockey fanatics and diehards attend this camp where you will be challenged on a high individual level. You will play hockey under supervision of top Dutch trainers, coaches and internationals. Many players from the Dutch premier league and national (youth) teams will visit this camp. Last year, 50% of the participants came from abroad. After the top-level clinics you can put the new skills into practice at the International Top Tournament. The goalies can count on a balanced program at the Goalies Club designed by Martijn Drijver, goalie coach of the Dutch National Team. All techniques will be brought up to perfection, making you an outstanding goalie. Exclusively in this camp is the Video Analysis that enables us to register and analyze your hockey progress closely. Besides hockey there is also time for other cool sports like Unihockey and a survival that will require both team building and endurance. The social program will test your craziness with all kinds of strange and wonderful activities! And of course, we will fi nish with a fi nal Top Party!

Welcome to the empire of the great! For over twenty years the Drijver Goalie Camps have been famous in both the Netherlands and abroad. Diving, fl ying, sliding and ultimate saving against the ball machine! Five full days of intensive goalie training. A unique Goalies Only Camp!This camp is designed for goalies that really want to learn and get better. All skill levels are welcome! The only thing that matters is that you have the desire to become a better goalie. We will use 100 balls per group, a ball machine, rebound boards, tip-inn boards, dummies and a Zwiebelboard. It will be possible to try the newest goalie gear of market leader OBO. Only the very best Goalie Professionals will be teaching you all kinds of skills and tactics.The training program is written according to the “Drijver Training Concept”. With this method, Martijn Drijver (goalie coach of the Dutch National Team and other top goalies) has had great success for the past decade with, amongst others, Floortje Engels, Jaap Stockmann and Sam van der Ven: all Dutch National goalies. Antwerp Classic Hockey CampsTrès beau, très charmant… Hello Antwerp! This summer we will visit the beautiful club of KHC Dragons for two weeks! Hockey players and goalies from all over Europe will join these thrilling camps. International top trainers will teach you the fi nest skills of world hockey and top players will give spectacular live demos. Each afternoon you’ll play the Classic Tournament. But there is more, oh, oui! Of course we will pay a visit to the beautiful centre of Antwerp and there will be a rumbling social program during the evenings with a perfect mix of games and parties! Barcelona! For the past fi fteen years Barcelona has been one of our most popular camp destinations. Sunny weather, a swimming pool, a dazzling city and the best coaching clinics in Europe… sounds good, right? Each year, more than 300 players participate in these internationally orientated camps. With over fi fteen years of experience in the city of Gaudí and Camp Nou, we have found the ideal mixture of hockey, beach, city, siesta and fi esta! In the morning you will receive clinics from (international) top trainers while in the hot afternoon sun you can relax and have a siesta. Once the weather cools later in the day you´ll play the daily tournament matches. Of course we will visit the beach and the city of Barcelona, with Las Ramblas, outdoor cafés and the grand shopping boulevards… Hasta luego a Barça…!

After a decade of organising great hockey clinics and programs, SportWays has become the biggest and most favoured home for hockey camps in Ireland. As always, the ethos of all SportWays clinics in Ireland is to teach our players the sport by using the very latest inter-national coaching techniques. We are delighted to announce that in 2013 we will host the following SportWays Clinics in Dublin:

1. The SportWays Junior Clinic: Ages 7 - 12This Clinic is aimed at Primary School players between 7-12 years and will focus on develop-ing and improving basic skill levels, preparing for game play as well as looking at some of the latest techniques in the sport. The Junior Clinic is guaranteed to improve your play in a safe and fun environment. The SportWays technical directors will design the course and you will be taught by a host of top players and coaches!

2. The SportWays Academy Clinic: Ages 13 - 16The Academy Clinic is for Secondary School players between 13-16 years. Individual attention will be placed on each player ensuring that participants of all abilities can take their game to the next level. Our technical directors and International players will create an interactive training regime which includes detailed explanation and breakdown of basic skill-sets as well as the latest techniques being used in the sport - all with expert feedback and dem-onstrations. Thomas Tichelman, coach of the Dutch men’s National team, has designed the on-fi eld hockey coaching program for the SportWays 2013 Clinics in Ireland. Groups of friends or teams also have the opportunity to train together. Over the past few years at each clinic, there have been a number of international players from all over the world in attendance in-cluding; Jamie Dwyer, Davy Carson, Phelie Maguire, Alan Southern, David Harte, Conor Harte, Emma Smyth and Anna O’Flanagan to name just a few. In 2013 we can expect the best line up of trainers ever seen in Ireland!
