ThisresearchpaperwillcompareandanalyzevariousTuskegeeuniversitystudentsviewsonspankingandcorporalpunishment.Thisresearchpaperwillalsomeasure

suchvaluesasgender,class,andagewithrespecttonumerousquestionstoobtaina

detailedsummaryoftheviewsofstudents.ThegoalofthisresearchpaperistointerprettheviewsofstudentsonSpankingandCorporalpunishment.Thisresearch

paperwillusesuchtoolsasgraphs,charts,andtablestopresentitsfindings.

Introduction

1. DescriptionoftheProblem-Theproblemwearemeasuringistheviewsof

TuskegeeUniversitystudentsonintentionalinflictionofpainonthebodyfor

thepurposeofpunishment,whichisclassifiedasSpankingandCorporal

Punishment.

2. AttributestobemeasuredWearemeasuringsuchattributes,asthe

opinionsandbeliefsTuskegeeuniversitystudentshaveonspankingand

CorporalpunishmentmyPerceptionsisthattheviewswillvarydepending

oniftheindividualreceivedspankingsfromhisorherparents.Thefindings

willalsobecomparedwithdifferentvariablesandvaluesineffortstobetter

obtainamoredetailedconclusion.Itismybeliefthatmostmenandwomen

arefavorabletowardspankingandcorporalpunishment.

3. Hypothesis-IhypothesizethatmajorityofTuskegeeUniversitystudents

agreewithSpankingandCorporalfordisciplinaryuse.HoweverIexpectmy

findingstoshowahugedisparityintheviewsofmenonspankingand

Corporalpunishmentversestheviewsofwomen.Iwillusesuchtoolsasa

bivariatetableandmultivariatetopresentthesefindings.SincemostAfrican

AmericanspracticeSpankingIstronglyfeelstudentswillsupportspanking

asawhole.

4. Istronglyfeelthatmyfindingswillshowthatgenderwillhasmostdisparity.

Secondlyclassificationsincemostfreshmenarejustbecomingadultsand

InconclusionthrewtheresearchgatheredIwasabletosupportmyhypothesiswith

myfindingsandillustratethemthrewgraphs,charts,andtables.AlsoIused

bivariatetablestosupportseveralkeyfactsthatIfoundinmyresearchaswellas

multivariatetablestosupportmyfindings.Spankingandcorporalpunishmentisa

verycontroversialissueandwillremainonaslongasparentscontinuethepractice.

HowevermanyyoungTuskegeestudentsfeelastheywillnotspanktheirchildrenas

ameansofdiscipline.ThevastdisparitywasfoundinageasIstatedinmy

hypothesisitwouldbe.ThereforeIconcludethatspankingandCorporal

punishmentisusedcommonlybyparentsasameansofdisciplineandmostyoung

TuskegeeStudentsdonotagreewiththosemethodshoweverupperclassmen21-24

believetheywillpracticespankingontherechildren.
