NudeAudio - Kickstarter

SMTM was approached by NudeAudio in early 2014 to support the launch of their Super-M bluetooth speaker utilising the Kickstarter crowdfunding model. Tasked with raising awareness, building and engaging a new audience and generating sales, SMTM helped NudeAudio raise $839,000 in 30 days against an initial target of $75,000.

We did this by focussing on four areas:

Network analysis● Identified existing and potential influencers within their network and developed a communications plan.

Strategy ● Developed and executed a marketing conversation plan including User Generated Content (UGC), PR, cross-promotion and Facebook

advertising

Influencers● Introduced NudeAudio to our network of influencers in music, enterprise and technology to create separating them into

○ Strategic partnerships (commercial and promotional deals)○ Tactical partnerships (promotional)

Execution/Monetisation● Working closely with the network of influencers SMTM developed communications plans, endorsement and sales drives for each.

Sport England - Social Media Toolkit

● In 2014, SMTM was approached by B-focussed Sports Marketing to create a social media toolkit for Sport England.

● The toolkit included best practice, sizing guidelines and step by step guidance on setting up profiles across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram and also tips and insights on how to engage with influencers, other sporting bodies and the general public.

● The toolkit was made available to all 46 National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and is regularly used in new starter packs.

● In addition to this, SMTM also worked closely with British Taekwondo to provide them with Social Media training for their operations and management teams.

Fono

● While providing Digital Marketing strategy and execution for Relentless Records we worked closely with up and coming producer and DJ, Fono, providing social media training, strategy and consultancy on an ongoing basis.

● This project included creating and optimising a number of social media profiles for Fono including Google +, YouTube, BeatPort and Spotify.

● Over a period of four months, Fono’s social media profiles increased significantly (see below):

➢ 111% increase Facebook likes ➢ 170% increase in Twitter followers ➢ 394% increase in Soundcloud followers

HalfLife

● SMTM were asked to work with HalfLife, a musical project consisting of Riz Ahmed and DJ Distance to help create their online presence and promote their new venture socially and build an audience for them. This included creating and optimising profiles across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and SoundCloud.

● We did this by first identifying both existing and potential networks that we could tap into. We then created and executed an online communications plan incorporating Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud and YouTube.

● To ensure maximum exposure we worked closely with Riz and Distance to tap into networks of influencers that we knew would support the project.

● The results of the campaign included premiering their first track with one of the largest electronic music sites in the UK (UKF) and achieving more than 100,000 SoundCloud plays.

Shelterpoint

● SMTM was hired by Space + Time Records to deliver a social media training session for recently signed act Shelterpoint.

● Following the initial training session, SMTM were appointed by Space + Time Records to direct the online development of Shelterpoint and to support the launch of their debut ep Weird Dreamers.

● During this time SMTM provided ongoing support, advice on best practice and developed relationships with Spotify and Soundcloud for the band.

● To date the activity has garnered the following results over a 12 month period:➢ 44% increase in the number of Facebook likes➢ 80% increase in Twitter followers➢ 60% increase in Soundcloud followers.

Relentless Records

● SMTM was hired by Relentless Records to provide interim day to day digital marketing support for the label as it moved into 2015 with a number of artists and product releases.

● The day to day work included creating and optimising social media platforms for the label and its roster of signed artists and working with platforms including YouTube, Spotify, Beatport.

● In addition, SMTM provided social media training for new and existing artists signed to the label and provided ongoing counsel.

● SMTM (through its network of brand contacts) introduced Relentless Records to a number of high profile brands and media platforms including Novation/Focusrite, SBTV, SubPac and Gibson Guitars.

STA Travel - Travel Insider

● Working with our production partners, Formidable Productions, SMTM developed a six week campaign encapsulating travel, talent and social media to raise awareness of the STA Travel US brand.

● Over the course of six weeks, SMTM, developed an all encompassing conversation strategy that included regular output on all STA Travel US social media feeds and also individual plans for each STA Travel Insider.

● The campaign garnered the following results:➢ 17.5m Twitter impressions➢ 900,000 Twitter accounts reached➢ 386 click throughs direct to retail pages (N.B. this was only from part of the campaign)➢ 66,688 total video views➢ 36% increase in STA Travel Instagram followers➢ 87% increase in STA Travel YouTube subscribers
