1. Exhibitor participating in Seoul ADEX 2021 shall comply with the Seoul ADEX 2021 Exhibitor Manual.

2. The Seoul ADEX Office reserves the right to change any rules and regulations in order to run the exhibition smoothly. Exhibitors will be notified of any changes on the official website. (www.seouladex.com)

3. Exhibitor shall be liable for not only the violations of the guidelines, rules and regulations from the Seoul ADEX Office including Exhibitor Manual but also any damages or personal injury caused by any willful or negligent act of its employees, contractors, or agents.

4. In the event of a dispute, exhibitors must follow the decision of the Seoul ADEX Office under the Korean Exhibitor Manual and Korean law.

5. Any dispute during the build-up and dismantling period or any matter not set forth in this Exhibitor Manual that occurs during the exhibition shall be resolved as determined by the Seoul ADEX Office.

The organizer may cancel the exhibition or postpone or shorten the exhibition period in the event of any Force Majeure event such as natural disaster, state of national emergency, administrative order

to ban gatherings or pandemic occurs. In case the exhibition in cancelled due to reasons prescribed in the preceding sentence, the organizer shall refund the participating fee based on the Article 10,

Exhibitors’responsibilitiesandliabilities

Compensation liability■ Exhibitor shall be liable for any damages caused by any willful or negligent act of its employees, contractors, or agents. Exhibitor shall be liable for any damages caused by its willful or negligent misconduct with respect to the facilities (floor, wall, or pillars, etc.) on the exhibition site. If an exhibitor causes damage, the exhibitor will be responsible for compensation.

■ Exhibitor shall be liable for any damages caused by its willful or negligent misconduct with respect to shell scheme booths installed within the exhibition hall, items leased by organizer or any possessions or property of other exhibitors. Exhibitor who uses a shell scheme booth must take caution not to damage the critical facilities, including, but not limited to the octanium system, floor, electric devices, and rented furniture. If an exhibitor causes damage, the exhibitor will be responsible for compensation.

Theft■ The organizer is not responsible or liable for exhibitors’ loss or damage.

■ Exhibitors must have a plan in place to prevent accidents and theft, day and night, during build-up, dismantling, and exhibition.

Damage (Third party)■ As between a third party and the exhibitor, the organizer is not responsible or liable for physical damage, any direct and indirect loss. Exhibitors must take every security precaution and coverage to prevent loss.

Fire precaution and safety■ For safety reasons, - No electric heating appliances in the exhibition halls - No gas or flammable liquids in the exhibition site - No cooking of any kind in the exhibition halls and chalets

■ Smoking is strictly prohibited to prevent fire during the entire build-up, dismantling and exhibition periods except in the designated areas.

■ If a certain type of extinguisher is needed, the exhibitor must prepare the extinguisher at its own expense and place it around the exhibit.

■ The exhibitors who book raw space must build their booths with non- inflammable flooring materials. Fire extinguishers should be placed in the booth under the construction regulation of raw space and chalet.

Insurance■ Exhibitors are liable for payment.

■ Accident insurance: For the physical loss or damage during build-up, dismantling, and exhibition

■ Property insurance (including fire insurance): To prevent theft or loss of exhibits

Noise standard■ The noise from a sound system must not disturb other exhibitors and shall have an output of less than 85dB(A) when measured one meter apart from a speaker.

■ Speakers should face the inside of the booth and must not cross over the boundaries of the booth.

Removal of waste material■ All wastes such as debris, wrappers, packing and structures generated due to construction and dismantling must be taken care of exhibitors. Exhibitors are liable for payment and they should discuss with the official cleaning service contractor about how to handle all types of wastes.

■ Materials stated above should not disturb people in the aisle.

■ Dumping food waste is prohibited in the exhibition site.

Sales within the exhibition hall■ Sales activities are strictly prohibited in the exhibition halls.

Censorship and copyright of audio-visual materials■ Exhibitors will be fully responsible for any infringement of copyrights occurring from use of the materials.

Prohibition of wreaths and flowerpot■ No wreaths or flowerpot may be brought into the exhibition hall, chalet, or the outdoor exhibition area, as they interfere with visitor traffic flow.

The roles and responsibilities of Organizer

The role of organizer■ Organizer shall perform tasks such as the invitation of overseas buyers, planning schedule of G to B / B to B meetings, making Exhibitor Directory, and issuing badges in order to ensure that exhibitors prepare for the exhibition smoothly.

■ Organizer shall perform detailed designs (in July) and construction (from August to October) of the exhibition site infrastructure such as exhibition halls, chalets, electricity and telecommunication facilities, water supply and drainage systems, toilets and restaurants, etc.

Organizer’s authority■ Should there is any matter not provided for in the ‘Exhibitor Agreement’ or the ‘Exhibitor Manual’ or any dispute arises, the organizer may mediate such matter or dispute after hearing the opinions of the parties concerned for the smooth running of the Exhibition. All exhibitors shall respect any decision or conduct of the organizer.

Fire precaution and safety■ Fire extinguishers will be placed at the designated area for use.

■ Daily time period patrol system for fire prevention activities during the build- up/dismantling and exhibition period

Damage■ The organizer may bring a compensation claim for any damage caused by exhibitors.

■ If the organizer must restore anything after failing an inspection, the exhibitor must pay a penalty for delaying dismantling and restoration.

The exhibitor may take strong action for breaches of the regulations at the exhibition site.■ Noise - The organizer may frequently measure sound. - The organizer can ask exhibitors to lower the volume less than 85dB. - If an exhibitor does not comply with alterations requested by the organizer, the organizer may impose sanctions, such as electricity suspension to the booth. - If an exhibitor receives three or more warnings for violating the noise provision, the exhibitor may be penalized, such as by the participation scale or booth allocation during a subsequent exhibition.

Officialcontractors

Catering■ For safety reasons, cooking and using of gas or inflammable liquid are not allowed on site.

■ Beverage and cooked food using the official catering service contractors designated by the organizer can be served.

■ Organizer will issue the permit to access the exhibition site for the vehicles for catering and only official contractors can have the permit.

Freight■ The venue of Seoul ADEX is designated as the bonded area.

■ Only the official contractor that is designated by the organizer is available to handle the cases regarding to freight in the exhibition site. - Loading and unloading in the area that the exhibitor does not book the space - Storage such as the box for exhibit shipping in the area that the exhibitor does not book the space

■ Exhibitors can ask the detailed information about tariff and work manuals to the official contractor.

Shell scheme■ The organizer rent all shell scheme booths. Therefore, it is not available for exhibitors to be constructed arbitrarily.

■ Only the official shell scheme contractor is available to handle all shell scheme booths including construction and interior in the exhibition hall.

■ Sales - The organizer will enforce the prohibition on selling activities. - Violation of this provision may result in a complete shut-down of the exhibitor’s booth, even during the exhibition.

■ Exhibitors have no right to ask for compensation for any damages or a refund of their participation fee if the organizer takes a strong action against exhibitors.

Miscellaneous Visa and Invitation Letter■ Invitation letter - International exhibitors who are required to obtain a visa for entry in South Korea may get an invitation letter from the organizer. - An invitation letter will be issued only once on behalf of the Chief of Seoul ADEX Office for exhibitors to apply for Korean Visa. - Before the exhibitor ask the invitation letter,※ . Check your Order Form #8 submission for exhibitor badges. Person who has his/her own exhibitor badge can be on the list of invitation letter. . ※Collect the personal information for invitation letter : Name, job title, gender, nationality, passport number, date of birth - Ask for invitation letter by email([email protected]).

■ While you are staying in South Korea, work will not be permitted, and there will be restrictions on commercial activities.

Preventive Measures to be followed due to COVID-19■ Complying with the COVID-19 guideline from government - Following the latest guidelines for cleaning and disinfection from government

※ The Seoul ADEX Office will distribute it afterward.

■ Managing venue sanitization and hygiene by the Seoul ADEX Office - Main entrance and exit, the aisles and entrances/exits of indoor exhibition halls, seminar halls, toilets, smoking areas, etc.

■ Public space hygiene protocol - Check facemask wearing for visitors including exhibitors and guide to COVID-19 response - Distribution of guidance for exhibitors

■ Key things to know for exhibitors - Each booth and chalet including exhibit is regularly sanitized by exhibitors. - Prompt action must be required if an employee has COVID-19 symptoms such as having a high temperature, cough or sore throat at the venue.

※ Necessary to let the Seoul ADEX Office know immediately※ The employee must visit a health enter or consult with the KCDC Call Center right away and stop going to work at the venue.

Important notice

Exhibitor site entry is strictly controlled by the organizer because the venue is a military base. Exhibitors must follow the organizer’s guidelines. No visitors will be allowed to enter the restricted zones for any reason.Upon any violation, penalty and punishment will be applied under Korean law.

1. All contractors who enter the exhibition site must carry their badges issued by the Seoul ADEX Office. To get the contractor badge, it is necessary to submit the Contractor Badge Form and exchange it to ID card on site.

※ The type of ID card : Passport, Certificate of alien registration, Driver license, Social security card (Others are not allowed.)

2. It is available to enter the exhibition site from 08:00 to 17:00. Except the people who get the approval for night work, all contractors must be off the exhibition site by 17:00.

※ For night work, exhibitor or contractor must write the ‘Overtime Work Application’ form and submit it at the Exhibition Service Center in person before 15:00 the same day. Night work will be available until 20:00.

3. Exhibitors should assign the ‘Construction Manager (CM)’ who is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the in-house details of their space. In addition, CM is responsible for training all contractors/workers before they start to work on site. Construction Manager must stay on site during work hours.

4. Contractors should comply with all fire safety regulations such as placing fire extinguishers on site and should take full responsibility for safety of their space.

Removal of waste disposal■ All wastes such as debris, wrappers, packing and structures generated due to construction and dismantling of booth or chalet must be taken care of exhibitors. Exhibitors are liable for payment and they should discuss with the official cleaning service contractor about how to handle all types of wastes. ※ If the exhibitor does not handle waste, the organizer claims the compensation after cleaning it.

Prevent the dispute about adjacent to another booth■ The height of the wall : do not exceed 2.5m including flooring/platform

■ Exhibitors adjacent to another booth are not permitted to use the reverse of the neighbor’s wall or attach any materials. The exhibitor who builds the wall higher than the adjacent booth has the responsibility to make the backside white paint finishing. The organizer reserves the right to give an order to change the wall structure if the back or side of the wall is considered to be interrupted by the organizer.

Construction regulations■ Building materials - All materials to build booths must be fire retardant and nonflammable. - Necessary to submit the flame retardant document issued from the fire station by

2021/10/08 and get an approval from the organizer. ※ The certificate from individual fire inspection company is not acceptable.

■ Install platform - To prevent runway, install over 80mm platform before construction

■ In case of installation on temporary building or tent - To secure safety of the visitors - To keep the waterproofing systems to prepare rain and fire extinguishers for fire safety■ Flood Action Plan - Exhibitors need to make a plan to prevent floods and discuss it with the organizer in advance.■ Booth dismantling - Do restore the space and facilities to keep the condition before the exhibitors use - For the exhibitor who books raw space and chalet, it is necessary to fill out the form about dismantling contractor via EOSS(Exhibitor Online Service System) Order Form #3. - Refrain from using claw truck to prevent runway - Exhibitors have to get the inspection from the organizer after they finish the work for booth dismantling and restoration. - If the organizer should restore anything after an inspection, the exhibitor have to pay penalty for delaying dismantling and restoration.

Chalet takeover/handover■ Exhibitors can takeover/handover the standard chalet based on the specifications. (Exterior wall: white oil-based paint)

■ Sign the takeover/handover form after the inspection of chalet module■ After signing the document, exhibitors are liable for damage. Furthermore, there will be an additional charge for repairing or reconstruction.

Fault and action■ If there is any technical fault with the basic chalet structure, contact the official chalet contractor.

■ Write down takeover/handover form after the inspection of chalet module

Construction regulations■ Building materials - Easily flammable materials that produce burning droplets or toxic gases and/

or smoke, such as PVC, styrofoam or similar items, as well as various acrylic glass products may not be used.

- All materials must be fire retardant and nonflammable. - Necessary to submit the flame retardant document issued from the fire station

by 2021/10/08 and get an approval from the organizer. ※ The certificate from individual fire inspection company is not acceptable.

- Ceiling finishing materials : Must be nonflammable - Glass materials ·Safety glass : tempered glass, laminated glass (synthetic resin cover, wire glass, etc.) ·If the edge of glass is damaged, it is not available to use it. ·Finishing of the edge of glass : steel format or other finishing materials ·If exhibitors make a glass door for interior separations, they need to put each name tag at eye level.

■ Height limitation - Internal height from flooring to the finishing materials on the ceiling is at least 2.3m.

- When exhibitors install structures and display their exhibits inside, it is not available to be exceed the internal height.

■ Interior, construction, and displaying exhibits - Exhibitors need to consider loading condition of their chalet. If the maximum load is exceeded, exhibitors are responsible or liable for damage.

Not To Do for the interior of chalet structure■ The construction of the basic structure cannot be carried out except the construction of the official chalet contractor. In addition, if the construction is done without prior consultation, exhibitors have to compensate for the cost of basic structure.

- Change the basic structure, do construction directly without the official chalet contractor

- Make a hole, change or install ceiling structure - Rigging on the chalet ※ Ask for detailed information about modifications of basic structure to the official chalet contractor

■ Wall - If exhibitors do not install truss and membrane structures by themselves, it is available to put interior partitions.

- Must be restored after the exhibition ends

■ Stairs - U-shaped

- The position of internal stairs between the first floor and the second floor is available to be changed.

- If exhibitors who discuss the drawings of their chalet from the official chalet contractor can change their stair type to left or right, forward or side. In this case, exhibitors MUST discuss the drawings with stairs before 2021/07/30.

- NOT AVAILABLE to install L-shaped and Straight stairs ※ Please contact the official chalet contractor for detail.

■ Flooring - Available to use another finishing materials such as carpeting or wooden flooring on the basic structure

- After the exhibition ends, exhibitors must handle the disposal of waste materials produced in construction work by themselves.

■ Terrace and landscaping - If exhibitors plan to use any other materials such as sand, sawdust, soil that are not easy to be collected, they need to build the polyethylene sheets on the floor in advance.

- Especially, timber decking on the second floor terrace should be done by the official chalet contractor due to water leak.

Available to install the structure such as signboard or arch at the entrance of terrace area on the 1st floor after expansion■ Maximum expanded depth : within 0.6m (The hallway of terrace should be at least 2.4m.) ■ Maximum expanded height : 3.8m※ Please contact the official chalet contractor beforehand, if exhibitor considers the special expansion that is not based on the size in the regulation. ■ If exhibitor plans to do expansion work, it needs to get the approval from the official chalet contractor. Please submit the following documents by 2021/07/30. - 3D artwork, CAD format elevation, ground plan, detailed drawing, the layout of electricity rendering image※ Please ask the detailed information about the chalet expansion to the official chalet contractor in advance.

Electricity, water supply and plumbing installation■ Electric wiring work - For safety reasons, electric wiring work must be handled by only the official chalet contractor. However, after electric wiring construction, exhibitors can do minor work such as installation of light bulb or electric lighting. - Ask the detailed information to the official chalet contractor by 2021/07/30■ Plumbing work - Available to do the construction for water supplying, drainage and sanitary system by only the official chalet contractor - If there is any additional work or modification, please submit the drawing with the detailed information to the official chalet contractor by 2021/07/30. - Start water supply from Oct. 19(Tue) ※ Not available to use the toilet before Oct. 19(Tue)

Fire precaution■ Fire extinguishers - At least one extinguisher in each room and hall in the chalet - The Korean and English signs about the placement of fire extinguishers, emergency exits and escape routes must be attached on each level. - Need to submit the layout marked the placement of the fire extinguishers■ Fire alarm system and smoke alarm system - Fire alarm system and smoke alarm system have to be installed in each interior space division of chalet module. (In case of hall, install them at interval of 6~7m.) - After installation, exhibitor needs to get a test run with the organizer.■ Curtains and sunshade must not touch the floor.■ Shrubs and plants may only be used for landscape design. Flower pots/tubs are necessary to be used.■ No smoking inside the chalet! Smoking permitted in designated areas only!

Safety regulations■ When exhibitors display exhibits and structures inside, it has to be considered by the emergency situation with safety.■ Emergency exits and escape routes - At least one entrance and one emergency exit door in one unit of chalet - The Korean and English signs about the placement of emergency exits and escape routs must be attached on each level. - The width of escape routes : at least 1.2m■ Security manager - The person who is in charge of safety of the chalet should be designated as the security manager and he or she needs to stay in his or her own chalet. - Security managers must know the detailed information below :

a) The placement of fire alarm and fire extinguishers in boothb) The number of fire extinguishers inside the chaletc) How to use fire extinguishersd) The location of emergency exit and escape routese) Evacuation instructions for ageing and disability

Regulations of chalet dismantling and return■ Dismantling - After the exhibition, it is available to do dismantling work. (10/25 ~ 27) - To remove the exhibits and other things except the basic structure - Refrain from using claw truck to prevent runway - Need to do perfect restore and make a clean condition

■ Return - After the restore process will be finished, the exhibitor signs the chalet takeover/handover form. - Compensation claims resulting from any damage after the exhibitors return their chalets.

Removal of waste disposal■ All wastes such as debris, wrappers, packing and structures generated due to construction and dismantling of chalet must be taken care of exhibitors. Exhibitors are liable for payment and they should discuss with the official cleaning service contractor about how to handle all types of wastes.

■ Not available to keep the empty box including exhibits and the packing materials inside and outside of the chalet
