Activity 1Check the following questions and ask them to a friend in English. You can use WhatsApp

or call your friend by phone. Take notes and then you have to record yourself and say the

answers about your partner’s friend. Please include extra information (use your cellphone).

If you cannot use a cell phone or can’t contact any of your friends, you can invent your own

answers.

Activity 4Grammar practice with present perfect using FOR and SINCE and questions with How

long.

We use FOR with the present perfect to talk about a period of time before now.

Examples:

I have worked in Juana de Asbaje as a teacher for year and a half

She has known her best friend for many years.

We use SINCE with the present perfect to mention a specific point in time.

I have worked in Juana de Asbaje as a teacher since August 2008

She has known her best friend since kindergarten.

We use How long to ask question about the duration of an action or situation that has been happening until now. We usually use For and Since to answer these questions.

How long have you studied in Juana de Asbaje? Since kindergarten.

How long has she been your best friend? For many years.

Put the following time expressions with FOR or SINCE. Write them in the Word format.

Complete exercise 2 with the present perfect, using FOR and SINCE and the correct form

of the past participle of the verbs in the box. Write down the sentences in the Word format.
