When writing a narrative think about the beginning of your story, a dilemma (problem) your character may face and a resolution (how is the problem going to be solved?). Use the story mapping boxes to plan your ideas. Remember when writing a narrative to include speech. Each part that is being spoken must include inverted commas (speech marks) and you must start a new line for each new speaker. History Research the area where you live. Find out what it was like during the war. Are there any memorials around with the names of local heroes? Find out what they did to serve their country. Try to find out about Harry O’Callear and create a fact file detailing what you have found. Use the fact file attached to help you organise your information.
