The programme was to be part of the RIBA CPD scheme across the north of England. In the event the programme had to be rescheduled from the spring of 2010 because of a distinct lack of interest. The programme finally kicked off in October 2010 with the last session in March 2011.Each session has indicated an increasing awareness among the

BIMA BIM object is a combination of many things:It is detailed information that defines the product and geometry that represents the products physical characteristics. The visualisation data that gives the object a recognizable appearance and behavioural data, such as detection zones, enables the object to be positioned or to behave in exactly the same way as the product itself. There are two primary types of object: component and layered. The component objects are building products that have fixed geometrical shapes such as windows, doors, boilers etc. Layered objects are building products that do not have a fixed shape or size such as carpets, roofing, walls and ceilings.BIM objectsare construction product information presented in a 3D format.

BIM software's are based on parametric object modelling, where design, engineering, manufacturing and installation rules are embedded in the various product objects. This allows a building, which can contain upwards of 100,000 or more objects to be automatically edited in a controlled & systematic process.
