Transcript of Questionaire responses

From these results I have found out that just over half of my target audience think there are a good variety of POP magazine already on sale. Depending on the responses from the other questions will determine if going again conventions will have a wide enough window on opportunity.

Successfully I have established that although there may be a good variety on market of POP magazines, they do not appeal to the audiences out there. 77.78% of my chosen audience is dissatisfied with the appeal of the magazines out there.

As suspected from the research I have done, 80% of the people I asked said the appeal of POP magazines have a low target age range.

From this question I have gained an insight to what they would expect to see in a POP magazine for an older target market. Mature information, e.g. articles, concerts and relevant artists, is something that became emphasised.

From the options above, a shocking 77.78% of the people I asked where interested in articles about non-gossip related information.

Selected artists would be more appropriate from issue to issue then others. Justin Bieber came up more than once, but other artists such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga and JLS were included too.

Although I am aiming my POP magazine at an older target market, the colours remain balanced. 55.56% of the people I asked went with the common palette of pink/yellow/green/blues/oranges, whilst the remaining 55.56% of people went with the purple/pink/blue category.

The question of if they read any current POP magazines linked to the idea that what is out there doesn’t appeal to my target audience. The highest answer apart from n/a, was Billboard (20%). This magazine itself has an older target audience which may effect my magazine when making the publication.

Having the correct artist/icon as the main image and even featuring may affect the purchase of my magazine. 60% of people said it was a way for them to be indorsed into buying any magazine, 40% said they wouldn’t be effected.

From the ages I have selected the most common age for my POP magazine to be marketed for would be 17. Having older features and more mature information may influence 18 years olds to purchase

From the questions I have asked, I have

drawn the following findings:
