Prof. Dave Ulrich presents the latest results of the 7th round of the renowned HR competency study (HRCS). This survey - being conducted for almost 30 years - has empirically defined the competencies of HR professio-nals and how those competencies impact performance.

Dave Ulrich‘s findings generate once more new and sur-prising insights. Surprising to the extend that his two main questions he answers in this study - how do HR professionals deliver value and how do HR departments deliver value - unequivocally show that you can have great HR people, but you need the HR department to be doing the right things if you want to make impact.It challenges the old saying „I like my HR professional, but I hate HR“.

Dave Ulrich proposes nine HR competencies, con-sisting of six Organization and Delivery Enablers and three Core Competencies with a new one which he calls „The Paradox Navigator“.
