ABOUT THE COWGIRLS Oklahoma State enters this weekend's conference bouts at 17-4 overall with a 5-1 mark in Big 12 action. The Cowgirls return five contributing letterwinners from a 2015-16 campaign that saw the Cowgirls post the best finish in program history, earning the title of NCAA Runners-Up. Last season, OSU racked up a 29-5 record on the way to earning the program's first Big 12 Championship in 13 years, thanks in part to a 9-0 conference record. The OSU roster is headlined by three standout seniors in Katarina Adamovic, Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari. Adamovic is coming off an impressive junior season that saw the Cacak, Serbia native earn her first ITA All-American honor by way of advancing to the NCAA individual quarterfinals last summer. A two-time All-American and the 2015 Big 12 Co-Player of the Year, Lushkova has been a key to the Cowgirls' unprecedented success as well, racking up a team-leading 93 wins during her time in Stillwater. Tur Mari provided a major boost to the back end of the OSU singles lineup in 2016, going 22-8 in the No. 6 spot. Also returning for the Cowgirls are junior Vladica Babic and sophomore Katarina Stresnakova. Babic tallied six victories over ranked opponents in 2016, including a triumph over No. 28 Kennedy Shaffer of Georgia to help push the Cowgirls to a win over the Bulldogs in the NCAA Sweet 16. The highlight of Stresnakova's first season in Stillwater came in the NCAA Tournament, when the Slovakia product took down Ferny Angeles Paz of Ohio State in the NCAA quarterfinals to clinch the win over the Buckeyes and push the Cowgirls in to the national semifinals. Oklahoma State newcomers Sofia Blanco, Aliona Bolsova and Lena Ruppert have been key pieces to the Cowgirls' strong start as well, going a combined 58-17 overall in singles. The Cowgirls boasted one of the most impressive doubles records in the country in 2016, winning all but one doubles point in 34 matches. That trend has continued this season, as OSU has taken 18 of 21 possible doubles points on the year. Head coach Chris Young enters his eighth season at the helm of the Cowgirl tennis program after earning his 100th win with the program last season. Young is assisted by second-year assistant coach Matt Manasse and volunteer assistant coach Jaime Jaime Sánchez-Cañamares Rios.

NOTABLE STREAKS AND TRENDS►The Cowgirls have spent 54 consecutive weeks in the ITA top 25. The last time OSU was outside the top 25 was March 18, 2014.►The Cowgirls have won 20 or more matches in each of the last two seasons.►Since 2012, OSU has made five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. BEDLAM HIGHLIGHT -- 2014

The Cowgirls turned heads around the nation in March when they knocked off 14th-ranked Oklahoma, 4-2, in a thrilling, nationally-televised match that brought College MatchDay and over 500 tennis fans to the Greenwood Tennis Center. After wins by Karyn Guttormsen, Carla Tur Mari and Kanyapat Narattana, the Cowgirls held a 3-2 lead, and then freshman Viktoriya Lushkova would need to pick up a victory on one over Sooner senior Whitney Ritchie to put the Sooners away. "It was incredible," Cowgirl tennis coach Chris Young said after the match. "This is what we dreamed about when we built the facility. The guys that were doing the commentating told me that it was the best atmosphere at any MatchDay so far. That's what we want. People at Oklahoma State are just realizing how fun tennis matches can be and what we can do here. Hopefully this is the start of something special." Ritchie seemed to be too much for the Cowgirl freshman to handle in the first set, taking it convincingly, 6-1. Lushkova bounced back in a big way, storming through the second set to force a third. The match's final set came down to a tiebreaker after Ritchie tied the set at six. Lushkova and Ritchie traded points early in the match-deciding tiebreaker, but the freshman pulled away, winning four of the tiebreaker's final five points to clinch the Bedlam triumph for Oklahoma State. The Bedlam win was the team's second in an eight-match winning streak that ultimately made the Cowgirls a player for the Big 12 regular season championship. A loss to eventual champion Baylor put those dreams just out of reach, but the Cowgirls followed it up with a huge win over No. 22 Texas to lock up the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and become only the second Cowgirl team to knock off the Longhorns in Austin.

OKLAHOMA FROM A DISTANCE

The Sooners enter Friday's Bedlam match boasting a 12-6 overall record with a 2-4 mark in Big 12 action, following a weekend in which they picked up their first conference wins of the season against Kansas State and then-No. 23 Kansas. Junior Lily Miyazaki leads the Sooners with an 11-4 mark in the No. 1 singles spot, which is good for a No. 29 national ranking by the ITA. The 80th-ranked tandem of Julie Byrne and Malene Stripp figures to get the start for Oklahoma at No. 1 doubles with a 7-4 dual record thus far. Oklahoma is led by first-year head coach Audra Cohen. RECORD WATCH

►Viktoriya Lushkova's .810 career win percentage in singles ranks second all-time in program history. She is the first player since Kate Vasylyeva in 2003 to break onto that list. ►With 93 career singles wins, Viktoriya Lushkova is currently second on the Big 12 era career list, and only one win away from sealing the No. 1 spot. She is sixth on the doubles Big 12 era list with 87 career wins. ►With 88 career doubles wins, Katarina Adamovic sits in fifth on the program Big 12 era career doubles wins list. With a .798 win percentage in doubles, Adamovic's doubles win percentage leads the Big 12 era list in that category as well, along with Vladica Babic.►With 92 career doubles wins, Carla Tur Mari is currently the program's active leader in that category, while also sitting in second in the Big 12 era program record book. She is also fourth in singles with 88 career wins.

COWGIRLS IN THE ITA RANKINGS

The Oklahoma State women's tennis team moved up a spot to No. 8 in this week's national team rankings, released by the Inter-collegiate Tennis Association Tuesday. Senior Viktoriya Lushkova also eclipsed a new program-high singles ranking, coming in at No. 6 in this week's poll. With her new position in the ITA singles poll, Lushkova bested her previous mark of No. 7 in last week's rankings for a new pro-gram record. The Cowgirl senior is 20-8 on the season with a 9-7 record against ranked opponents and a 10-4 mark in dual action. Aside from Lushkova, four other Cowgirls represent OSU in the singles rankings, while four doubles teams remain ranked this week. Freshman Aliona Bolsova comes in at No. 57 in this week's singles rankings, followed by senior Katarina Adamovic at No. 61. Junior Vladica Babic is up three spots to No. 64 in the poll after a pair of wins last weekend, while senior Carla Tur Mari is slotted at No. 101. In doubles, Babic and Tur Mari hold steady at No. 9 to lead the Cowgirls. Bolsova and sophomore Sofia Blanco jump a spot to No. 33 this week. Lushkova and Adamovic come in at No. 54. MATCH NOTES

SUPER SENIORS

The experienced Cowgirl roster includes three seniors this season, all of which have been major contributors to the growth of the OSU women's tennis program. Katarina Adamovic, Carla Tur Mari and Viktoriya Lushkova have combined for 250 singles wins, 267 doubles wins, three All-America honors and 10 All-Big 12 accolades while helping the Cowgirls to an 85-24 dual record (.780 win pct.).

YOUNG GUNS

While the 2016-17 Cowgirl roster boasts plenty of experience, the young talent that head Coach Chris Young has brought on board over the last couple of seasons is evident as well, especially with a pair of newcomers. Freshman Aliona Bolsova (Spain) joined the Cowgirls this fall after finishing one of the most decorated junior careers of any signee in Cowgirl history, having been been ranked as high as No. 4 in the ITF world junior rankings with a number of impressive wins under her belt. Freshman Lena Ruppert (Germany) has been ranked as high as the No. 70 player in Germany, while recording five wins against players in the top-50. Ruppert came to OSU this fall rated as one of the top-10 players under the age of 18. Impressively, the Cowgirl underclassmen (Bolsova, Ruppert, and sophomores Sofia Blanco and Katarina Stresnakova) have combined for a 77-22 record (.778 win pct.) so far this season.

BABIC NAMED BIG 12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Oklahoma State women's tennis player Vladica Babic has been named Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. The recognition marks the junior's second career time to earn the award. Babic had a big weekend for the Cowgirls, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles to lead OSU to sweeps of Kansas State and No. 23 Kansas. Babic, along with teammate Carla Tur Mari, clinched both doubles points on the weekend, while also scoring the Cowgirls' match-clinching point in both of her singles matches. The Podgorica, Montenegro, native broke a two-match slump Friday night as she dropped Kansas State's Ines Mesquita, 6-1, 6-3 on the third singles court. Babic would then clinch the Cowgirl win over Kansas with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Nina Khmelnitckaia at No. 4 on Sunday. Playing in the top doubles position, Babic and Tur Mari defeated Ana Garcia Navas and Millie Stretton, 6-1, on Friday, before a 6-2 victory over No. 35 Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum and Nina Khmel-nitckaia of Kansas on Sunday. Babic's recognition is the fourth for a Cowgirl tennis player this season, following up weekly awards from seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova earlier this year.

LIGHT IT UP, LENA

Freshman Lena Ruppert impressed in her first dual matches as a Cowgirl, winning 11 of her first 13 matches. A deeper look into the numbers, however, shows an even more remarkable start for the German newcomer. In her opening four dual matches, Ruppert played a full 46 games before dropping one. Ranked as the top German women's player in college tennis, Ruppert figures to be a contributor in the Cowgirl lineup throughout the remainder of her freshman season, having posted a 20-4 overall singles record so far with an 11-2 mark in duals.

COWGIRLS GO INTERNATIONAL

The 2017 Oklahoma State women's tennis roster includes a variety of international flavors, with athletes hailing from eight different countries and three different continents. The Cowgirl roster boasts players from Serbia, Montenegro, Argentina, Spain, Ukraine, Germany, Slovakia and the United States.

OSU LIVE ON COLLEGE MATCHDAY

The Oklahoma State women's tennis team's matchup with Stan-ford on Feb. 17 was one of six matches broadcasted live on ESPN3 as part of the United States Tennis Association's College MatchDay program. The showdown between the Cowgirls and the Cardinal was a rematch of the 2016 NCAA Championship match, and took place at the USTA National Campus at Lake Nona in Orlando, Fla. The Cowgirls are familiar with College MatchDay, as the team has hosted the program in two of the last three years. During its first year on the air in 2014, the MatchDay crew traveled to Stillwa-ter for a Bedlam match inside the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. Fans around the country were treated to an epic match in which then-freshman Viktoriya Lushkova defeated senior Whitney Ritchie in a thrilling three-set match to seal up the victory for the Cowgirls. The program was also in Stillwater last season to cover the Cowgirls' conference victory over TCU that would lock up a share of the Big 12 title for Oklahoma State.

2016-17 MATCH RESULTS

MATCH 1Jan. 20, 2017 | Stillwater, Okla.

ORAL ROBERTS 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 7

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team cruised through its first two dual matches of the season, sweeping Oral Roberts and Louisiana Tech in a doubleheader on Friday at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. "Overall I thought it was a very good day for us," OSU head coach Chris Young said. "I thought we came out and competed and that's what we want to see as coaches at this point in the season. I don't think any of us expect to be playing our very best tennis on the first day, but as long as we're competing that will always give us a chance." OSU made quick work of the Golden Eagles in its first match of the day, clinching the win in an hour and 10 minutes to snag its first victory of the year. The Cowgirls picked up a pair of quick victories on courts one and three to put away the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. The 11th-ranked pairing of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari shutout ORU's Petya Simeonova and Jovana Antonijevic in a 6-0 match on No. 1 to earn their 10th win of the season as a tandem. Seconds later, seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova locked up their match, dropping Brenda Mercado Jove and Ximena Puentes, 6-0. Oklahoma State's momentum in doubles carried over to singles, as the team picked six straight-set victories to easily close the door on the Golden Eagles. Freshman Lena Ruppert made the most of her first career dual start, shutting out Valentina Gisbert, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 6 singles position to put the Cowgirls up, 2-0. The win was Ruppert's 10th career win, pushing her record to 10-2 this season. Adamovic, ranked No. 68 in the nation in singles, piled on shortly after Rup-pert's triumph, adding another team point with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Jovana Antonijevic in the top singles spot. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova clinched the win for the Cowgirls in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brenda Mercado Jove on court five. The win was Stresnakova's 11th of the season, which ties a team high. Also picking up her 11th win was sophomore Sofia Blanco, who handled ORU's Ximena Puentes, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 4 to follow 29th-ranked Vladica Babic's 6-0, 6-4 win over Petya Simeonova on two. Senior Carla Tur Mari closed out the match for OSU, defeating Ceijenia Cornelius, 6-1, 6-2, to move to 10-3 on the season.

NORTH TEXAS 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 7

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team picked up its third sweep of the weekend on Saturday morning, dropping North Texas, 7-0, to move to 3-0 on the dual season. "I thought it was a really good weekend overall, especially today," head coach Chris Young said. "I have a lot of respect for North Texas and their coaching staff. They've been around for a long time, and they do a good job. We got exactly what we thought we would get. They're a team that competes hard and tested us in some spots. "Starting this weekend off and playing three matches in 24 hours was a challenge for our girls mentally and physically, and them being able to bounce back this morning after a long day yesterday was really important. The girls really competed well. We got pushed in some spots, which we needed to have some adversity and to be able to come from behind in some sets and serve out in some big points. The girls did a good job handling that." The Cowgirls swept their third doubles point in as many matches Saturday, using wins on the second and third courts to put away the point. The senior tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, picking up a 6-0 victory over Maria Kononova and Alexandra Heczey to move to 2-0 on the dual season before Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco locked up the point for OSU with a 6-2 triumph over Alexis Thoma and Ivana Babic. Freshman Lena Ruppert wrapped up an impressive opening dual weekend with her third 6-0, 6-0 win of the weekend, taking down Haruka Sasaki in the fifth singles spot. Ruppert won 36 games in her first three career dual matches and gave up none to complete a perfect weekend. "I've never seen a freshman start her first three matches and win them all, 6-0, 6-0, so credit to Lena," Young said. "She's very professional with how she handles everything. She is consistent, and she's going to be a tough out anytime she's in the lineup." Bolsova handled Minying Liang, 6-1, 6-1, to finish off the first dual weekend of her Oklahoma State career with a 2-0 record. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova clinched the match for OSU with a win on No. 6. Stresnakova had little trouble with Alexandra Heczey as she posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory for her third straight-set win of the Cowgirls' opening slate. Cowgirl upperclassmen Vladica Babic, Katarina Adamovic and Carla Tur Mari each faced adversity in their matches Saturday morning, but each would find ways to come up with the win and help complete the Cowgirls' third sweep of the season. "I thought it was great for the girls at one and two to have to start down and then be able to come down," Young said. "They're going to be down in sets throughout the season, and those girls know how to step it up when the match is on the line. They know how to play big points, but early in the season, you have to re-acclimate to doing that." Trailing, 3-0, early in the first set of her match with Maria Kononova on court one, Babic recovered nicely, winning seven of the next nine games to take the first set, 7-5. The junior carried that momentum over to the second set as she coasted to the 7-5, 6-1 win to move to 3-0 on the dual season. Owning the first set of her match with Laura Arciniesas, 6-1, on No. 4, Tur Mari would be the first Cowgirl of the weekend to lose a set, dropping the sec-ond, 6-4, to send the match to a match-deciding super tiebreaker. The Spanish product showed poise and experience in the tiebreaker, winning easily, 10-2. After easily taking the first set, 6-1, Adamovic fell down, 4-0, to Alexis Thoma to open the second. Flipping a switch, the senior bounced back with wins in the next six games to take her second straight-set victory of the weekend and close the door on the Mean Green. "The most important thing in tennis is when you're not having a good day, and you have to find a way to win," Adamovic said. "Today wasn't my day, and I had my ups and downs in the match. I stayed composed in the critical moments and trusted my shots. Maybe I'm not happy with my game or how I played, but I'm happy that I found a way to win."

CORNELL 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 4

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team record-ed its fourth consecutive shutout to open the spring season, as the Cowgirls dropped Cornell, 4-0, to advance to tomorrow's ITA Kick-Off Weekend finals. "I thought the girls did a really good job," head coach Chris Young said. "I was really impressed with how Cornell came out and made us compete. I thought we got exactly what we needed out of today. We got a few different girls in the lineup and we were just trying to get some girls prepared for later in the season." The Cowgirls swept their fourth doubles point in as many matches Saturday, using wins on courts two and three to put away the point. The tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, scoring a victory over Madison Stevens and Lizzie Stewart, 6-2, before Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova secured the point for the Cowgirls with a 6-2 win over Priyanka Shah and Mariko Iinuma just moments later on court two. Sophomore Katarina Stresnakova provided Oklahoma State with its first point in singles play, dropping Madison Stevens in convincing fashion, 6-1, 6-1. Stresnakova's win was her 14th of the season and fourth in dual matches, both of which are team highs. Lena Ruppert was the next to secure a point for the Cowgirls, as the freshman continued her impressive run through the early portion of the spring season by besting Lizzie Stewart, 6-0, 6-1. Ruppert won the first 10 games of the contest, extending her streak to 46 consecutive games won, before drop-ping her first game of OSU's dual season. "The great thing about this team is our depth," Young said. "We have eight girls and that makes choosing who is going to play the toughest decision for me. The girls playing at five and six are making it tough on me to keep them out. Ruppert has lost one game in four matches, so she's making it harder for me to keep her out of the lineup." The clinching point for OSU came from Viktoriya Lushkova, as the senior won the final nine games of the match to knock off Marika Cusick in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Lushkova, ranked No. 11 in the nation, now sits at 12-4 for the season, with a 2-0 mark in dual action. "Early on, Viktoriya (Lushkova) had to adjust to the pace of the ball a bit," Young said. "In practice she's used to playing with people who bang the ball, but when she got out there (Cusick) gave her something a little bit different. We get so many great matches in practice that when we come out and play somebody who doesn't hit it at such a fast pace, we have to adjust and do some things a little bit different. Obviously, once she did that, she was able to rattle off nine games straight."

TCU 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 4

STILLWATER – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team re-corded its fifth consecutive shutout to open the spring season, as the Cowgirls dropped Big 12-foe TCU, 4-0, to advance to qualify for the Intercollegiate Ten-nis Association National Team Indoor Championships for a fourth straight year. "TCU came and played here last year and they brought a lot of the same girls back this year, so it definitely had the feel of a conference match," head coach Chris Young said. "It was a big match for us and that's what we need early in the season. We need to be able to put some girls in some different situations and they faced some adversity today, which is what they needed. It's really important to do that to find out what you're made of and what you can rely on when things get tough." In doubles play, the Cowgirls claimed the all-important point for the fifth time in as many matches Saturday, using wins on courts two and three to put it away. The tandem of Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova struck first, drop-ping TCU's Alexis Pereira and Aleksandra Zenovka, 6-1. TCU's 16th-ranked pair of Olaya Garrido-Rivas and Donika Bashota were able to best OSU's Carla Tur Mari and Vladica Babic on court one, but Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova secured the point for the Cowgirls with a 6-2 win over Seda Arantekin and Caroline Wagner on court two. "It's nice to be able to face some adversity and still be able to win 6-1 and 6-2 in the sets," Young said. "I think that people that watch us now are sometimes shocked when it takes us more than 20 minutes to win the doubles point. I think it was a situation where we had to battle through some things. This match was just tougher than the others that we've had so far, and that's a credit to TCU." Adamovic was the first Cowgirls to claim victory in the ensuing singles ac-tion, as the senior cruised to a win over Donika Bashota on court two, 6-1, 6-0. The win brings Adamovic's total to 10 for the season and improves her to 3-0 in dual matches this year. "TCU really showed up today and they pushed us," Adamovic said. "We got challenged in a couple different spots, but I think that was good for us." Her victory was followed up by sophomore Sofia Blanco just moments later, as the Argentine dropped Caroline Wegner in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. The win was Blanco's 13th of the season and her third consecutive win in dual matches. Aliona Bolsova was the one who provided Oklahoma State with its clinching point, as she was able to pull away from Garrido-Rivas in a back-and-forth second set to win, 6-3, 6-4. The win was the 14th of the year for the freshman, tying her with sophomore Katarina Stresnakova for the team high.

TULSA RV 1

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 4

TULSA, Okla. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team won its sixth-straight match Sunday afternoon, as it knocked off Tulsa, 4-1, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to move to 6-0 on the season.

The Cowgirls picked up their sixth doubles point of the season on Sunday with wins on courts one and three. The 11th-ranked OSU tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari struck first with a 6-3 victory over Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova.

Cowgirls Lena Ruppert and Sofia Blanco clinched the team point with a 6-3 win over Tulsa's Marcelina Cichon and Mahitha Dadireddy on No. 3. Going back to last season, OSU has clinched 39 of its last 40 doubles points.

OSU quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead with singles wins from freshman Lena Ruppert and senior Carla Tur Mari.

Ruppert continued her winning ways with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Marcelina Cichon at the No. 6 spot. The win marks the freshman's fifth straight, moving her to 14-2 on the year. In five appearances, Ruppert has still yet to surrender a set in her dual career.

Shortly after Ruppert's victory, Tur Mari finished off a 6-4, 6-2 win over Martina Okalova on court four to remain undefeated in dual action as well. The senior is now 12-3 overall for the season and 3-0 in dual contests with three-straight wins under her belt.

The Cowgirls couldn't tally their sixth sweep of the year, as sophomore Sofia Blanco came up short on No. 5 to Martha Matoula, 6-2, 6-3.

For the second time in the last three matches, senior Viktoriya Lushkova clinched the win for the Cowgirls. After grinding out a 6-4 first-set win over Tulsa's Ksenia Laskutova, Lushkova swept the second, 6-0, to put the Cowgirls on top. The victory pushes Lushkova's team-leading career win total to 85, while moving her record on the season to 13-4.

Cowgirls Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic each had first-set advan-tages when the match was suspended. On court three, Babic led 4-1, in the second after posting a 6-4 first-set win. After taking the first set, 6-2, on No. 2, Adamovic trailed, 5-3, in the second.

OLE MISS NO. 19 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 4

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The third-seeded and fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team defeated No. 19 Ole Miss, 4-0, Friday morning to advance to the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championships for the first time in school history. The Cowgirls will face sixth-seeded and seventh-ranked Ohio State on Saturday for a trip to the semifinals. "This was a really good college match between two excellent teams," head coach Chris Young said. "This is exactly what we needed at this point in the season and I'm happy with how we competed throughout the lineup. We know each match here will be tough, so we look forward to another great match against Ohio State tomorrow." The Cowgirls (7-0) once again asserted their dominance in doubles, picking up their seventh doubles point of the season in as many matches with wins on the top two doubles courts. The fifth-ranked OSU tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari handled No. 33 Arianne Hartono and Anna Vrbenska, 6-2, to start things off for the Cowgirls on No. 1. Young guns Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco clinched the point, defeating Natalie Suk and Alexa Bortles, 6-3. The win marked the duo's fourth clincher of the season. On court three, after finding themselves in a 3-0 hole to open the match, seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova battled back to win five-straight games and put themselves in position to finish the comeback before the match was suspended. In singles, the Cowgirls quickly picked up a couple of straight-set victories from seniors Adamovic and Tur Mari to push their lead to 3-0 and put the Rebels' backs against the wall. Adamovic was the first to strike, dropping Natalie Suk, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2 to move to 4-0 in dual play. The Cowgirl has yet to lose a set during the dual season, taking all four matches thus far in straight-sets. After taking the first set in a 7-1 tiebreaker over Mississippi's Tea Jandric in the fifth singles spot, Tur Mari opened the second facing a 3-0 deficit. The senior didn't lose her poise, and took the next six games to close out the match and improve her perfect dual record to 4-0. The Rebels wouldn't go away quietly, as they forced third sets in the other four singles matches; however, the Cowgirls would ultimately finish off the win, thanks to a strong performance from their two-time All-American Viktoriya Lushkova. Facing No. 58 Hartono, Lushkova bounced back from a disappointing, 6-4, first-set loss to take 12 of the match's final 15 games for the triumph at No. 1. With the win, the Cowgirl improved to 14-4 overall on the season and 4-0 in dual play. The win was also Lushkova's third clincher in the Cowgirl's last four matches. In the remaining matches, Vladica Babic and Lena Ruppert held leads in the third set before play was suspended. Freshman Aliona Bolsova trailed Zalina Kairudinova in the third set on court four.

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 3

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team fell just short of advancing into the semifinals of the ITA Indoor Championships Saturday morning, dropping its quarterfinal match to No. 7 Ohio State, 4-3. The Cowgirls (7-1) took the doubles point handily and snagged the first singles win, but the Buckeyes stormed back in singles play by winning four of the final five matches to take the win. In doubles, the Cowgirls used wins on courts two and three to claim their eighth doubles point of the season. Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova picked up their second win of the weekend as a tandem, downing Francesca Di Lorenzo and Miho Kowase, 6-2. Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic had no problem with Ohio State's Ferny Angeles Paz and Olivia Sneed, as the senior duo dropped the Buckeye teammates, 6-1. Freshman Aliona Bolsova quickly added to the Cowgirl lead, as she picked up a straight-set win over Sandy Niehaus on court four. Bolsova easily took the first set, 6-4, and gutted out the second in a 7-4 tiebreaker to earn the win. The victory was the Cowgirl's fifth straight, and moved her to 15-3 overall on the year. The Buckeyes responded as top-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo stifled a second-set push from No. 10 Viktoriya Lushkova in the top singles spot, drop-ping the Cowgirl, 6-3, 7-5. On line three, 68th-ranked Gaby DeSantis of Ohio State defeated Vladica Babic, 6-4, 7-5, to tie the match. Ohio State took the lead on court six, as Cowgirl Lena Ruppert fell to Ferny Angeles Paz, 6-3, 7-5. Senior Katarina Adamovic got the Cowgirls back on track as she notched her second win of the weekend in a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over 55th-ranked Anna Sanford to tie the match back up at three. Adamovic struggled to find a groove in the opening set, but responded nicely as she edged Sanford in the second before rattling off a convincing win in the third. On court five, Carla Tur Mari took the first set from 84th-ranked Miho Kowase, 6-4, forcing Kowase to grind out a 7-5 win in the second to stay alive. In the third, however, Kowase got the upper hand to run away with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 win and clinch the win for Ohio State.

CALIFORNIA NO. 8 2

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 5 4

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team rallied back to knock off eighth-ranked California Sunday afternoon in consola-tion action at the ITA Indoor Championships. After dropping the doubles point and falling back, 2-0, in singles, the Cowgirls (8-1) would rattle off four-straight wins to drop the defending indoor champion Golden Bears, with senior Viktoriya Lushkova notching the match-clinching point. "This was a classic college tennis match," head coach Chris Young said. "Both teams competed well on every court and it was a total team effort after we lost the doubles point for the first time this season. I am proud of our fresh-men for getting us back even quickly, and then (Vladica Babic) and (Lushkova) stepped up big. "At the end you had two of the best players in college tennis battling it out in a third set tiebreaker. What can you say about Viki? She has come through clutch for us so many times in her career. I am so proud of how we bounced back and competed today, and this will help us moving forward." OSU dropped only its second doubles point in the last two seasons Sunday, as California got 6-3 wins on courts one and three to take the point. The Cowgirls did get a nice win on the second doubles court, however, with Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova shutting out the 20th-ranked tandem of Olivia Hauger and Karla Popovic, 6-0. Cowgirl sophomore Sofia Blanco would drop a 6-2, 6-2 match to California's Maya Jansen on the fifth singles court, giving the Golden Bears a 2-0 lead. Freshman Lena Ruppert would serve up the Cowgirl comeback in a 6-2, 6-3 win over Maria Smith on court six to bounce back from a tough loss against Ohio State on Saturday. Ruppert wrapped up a 2-1 weekend holding down the No. 6 spot for OSU to move her overall record to 16-3. Shortly after the conclusion of Ruppert's match, freshman Aliona Bolsova wrapped up a straight-set win as well. Bolsova upended Olivia Hauger, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 4 to tie the match at two and bump her dual record to 5-0 this season. Each of the top three singles courts went to third sets with the Cowgirls coming up victorious on Nos. 1 and 3. Junior Vladica Babic finished off her match first, bouncing back from a 6-2, first-set loss to Denise Starr to take the final two frames, 6-3, 6-4, and put the Cowgirls in the lead for good. As the match was tied at four in the third set, Babic remained composed and went on to get a break and a hold to finish off the win. Viktoriya Lushkova controlled the first set of her match against California standout Maegan Manasse, 6-1; however, the Golden Bear stormed back to edge Lushkova in the second, 7-5. The two battled it out in an epic third set that was decided by a tiebreaker that the Cowgirl senior would take easily, 7-1, to lock up OSU's eighth win of the season.

LAKE NONA, Fla. – The sixth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team fell, 4-1, to No. 5 Stanford on Friday night in a top-10 matchup at the United States Tennis Association National Campus. The Cowgirls (8-2) started off strong, taking the doubles point and four first sets, but defending NCAA champion Stanford proved victorious with wins at the one, three, four and five singles spots. OSU earned its ninth doubles point of the season Friday, getting wins at the one and three positions to take the early lead. Stanford struck first, as Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova fell to the Cardinal duo of Caroline Doyle and Melissa Lord, 6-4, at No. 2. The Cowgirls would respond quickly with seniors Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova dropping Emma Higuchi and Carolina Lampl, 7-6(4). The Cowgirls' top doubles team of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari clinched the point in a tiebreaker. Trailing, 5-3, in the tiebreak, the tandem won four straight points to storm back and take the match, 7-6(5). Stanford took the lead over the Cowgirls with a couple of straight-set wins to jump ahead, 2-1. Tur Mari fell, 6-3, 6-2, to No. 59 Emily Arbuthnott, before Bolsova was handed her first dual loss of the season in a 6-4, 7-6(3) match against No. 75 Caroline Lampl. After Cowgirl junior Vladica Babic took the first set, 6-2, over No. 13 Melissa Lord, the Cardinal would bounce back to eventually take the match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0, and increase the deficit to 3-1. The match would be clinched in favor of the Cardinal on court one. Viktoriya Lushkova took the first set, 6-3, and appeared to be headed toward the win as she opened the second with a 3-0 lead; however, the senior appeared to suffer an injury midway through the set that would open up the door for Davidson to make a comeback. Davidson would bounce back to take the second, 6-4, and eventually the third to lock up the match for Stanford.

FLORIDA NO. 1 4

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team came up short to the top-ranked Florida Gators Saturday afternoon at the Ring Tennis Center. The match wraps up a stretch in which the Cowgirls played four top-10 teams in a single week. "Over the past two weeks we didn't shy away from the challenge of playing five of the best teams in the country, including four against top-10 teams, and we are going to be better for it," head coach Chris Young said. "We took the top team in the country to the wire at their place, and credit Florida for stepping up in crucial situations. Tonight was a high-level match and I am proud of the way our girls responded to a quick turnaround after a tough match last night. Our freshmen grew up a lot tonight and that's a big positive moving forward." Taking the doubles point and three first sets, OSU hung tough and pushed the Gators as hard as any other opponent has this season; however, Florida proved worthy of its No. 1 ranking and ultimately came out with the win. The Cowgirls (8-3) opened the day by handing the Gators their second loss of the season in doubles action. Despite Florida fielding three of the nation's top 25 doubles teams, OSU picked up wins on courts one and three to take an early lead in the match. The fifth-ranked tandem of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari struck first with a 6-4 win over No. 18 Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan in the top doubles spot. Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic found themselves trailing, 6-5, and facing a 15-40 match point late in their match on court three; however, the pair battled back, taking three-straight points to force a decisive tiebreaker. The Cowgirl seniors came out hot in the tiebreak, eventually coming up with the 7-2 win to take the match. The Gators tied the match score at one-all early in singles as Lushkova was forced to concede her match against No. 40 Belinda Woolcock due to injury. Florida tacked on another point at the No. 2 position when No. 45 Ingrid Neel held off Cowgirl Katarina Adamovic, 6-3, 6-2. The Cowgirls and Gators traded wins on courts three and five, putting the Florida lead at 3-2 with the final two matches in progress. Aliona Bolsova picked up a big win over No. 23 Anna Danilina on three. After taking her first set by way of a 7-5 tiebreaker, Bolsova snagged a 6-4 second-set win to lock up the Cowgirls' first singles point and push her dual record to 6-1. Freshman Lena Ruppert drew a tough matchup at No. 5, as she faced two-time singles All-American and reigning SEC Player of the Year Brooke Austin. Austin edged Ruppert in the first set, 7-5, but the freshman came back strong in the second with a 6-1 win to push the match to a third set. Ruppert came up short in the final frame, however, falling, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4. No. 19 Josie Kuhlman clinched the match for Florida on No. 4, pulling away late in the third set from Cowgirl junior Vladica Babic to win, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

BAYLOR NO. 10 1

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 7 4

STILLWATER – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team opened its Big 12 season on Thursday with a 4-1 victory over No. 10 Baylor in its first match back at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center since Jan. 29. The win was the Cowgirls' 15th-straight regular season conference match and 28th consecutive home win. The Cowgirls (11-3) took care of business, picking up their 12th doubles point of the season with wins on the top two doubles courts before tallying three straight-set victories in singles to close out the Bears. "Playing against conference teams is always tough and playing against ranked teams is always tough. Of course, Baylor is in the Big 12 and ranked very high, so we expected a really good match. When you play against good teams, you expect good matches. We weren't scared or nervous, but we just knew that we wanted to win because we lost to them here two years ago." The 37th-ranked Cowgirl tandem of Sofia Blanco and Aliona Bolsova handled Baylor's Angie Shakhraichuk and Jessica Hinojosa on court two for the Cowgirls' first win of the day, moving the duo to 19-6 overall on the year. Shortly after, Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari earned their fifth ranked win of the season in a 6-3 triumph over No. 22 Blair Shankle and Elizabeth Profit in the top doubles spot to seal the point. "I thought both teams played a little tentatively in doubles early on, and the wind had a little bit to do with that," Young said. "It was a little bit tricky, but I thought our girls really established themselves. That was a good win at No. 1 doubles for our girls." In singles, the Cowgirls continued to roll as they opened with five first-set wins. It wouldn't take long to get the necessary three victories to lock up their 11th win of the season, getting straight-set wins from Katarina Adamovic, Aliona Bolsova and Vladica Babic at two, three and four, respectively. "That's the great thing about playing the schedule we've played is that no one got too anxious about this match tonight because we've been there, done that," head coach Chris Young said. "Over the last two years, this team has become so experienced. I think you saw some jitters from our young kids at Nos. 5 and 6 who maybe didn't play as well as they wanted to, but I thought the veterans stepped up and took the lead while Aliona Bolsova did her job tonight as well." Bolsova was the first to strike, dropping Elizabeth Profit, 6-4, 6-3, to increase her team-leading season win total to 19 and push the OSU lead to 2-0. Almost seconds later, Adamovic would finish off her win over No. 110 Rhiann Newborn, 6-3, 6-3, to put the Bears' backs against the wall. With the win, the Cowgirl senior snagged her 15th win of the season her seventh win in her last eight matches. Despite Baylor getting on the board with a Jessica Hinojosa 6-4, 6-2 victory over Cowgirl sophomore Sofia Blanco, Vladica Babic put away the Bears by way of 6-4, 6-3 tally over Theresa Van Zyl for her second clincher of the season. In the remaining two matches, Viktoriya Lushkova led No. 11 Blair Shankle, 2-1, in the third set, while freshman Lena Ruppert was tied at one in the third with Angie Shakhraichuk.

"It was a good win," head coach Chris Young said. "UNLV has a talented team and they pushed us today, but we were able to play the big points well." OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 7 2

TEXAS TECH NO. 6 4

LUBBOCK, Texas – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team dropped its first regular season Big 12 match in over two years Friday afternoon, falling, 4-2, at No. 6 Texas Tech to end the team's conference win streak at 16. It was the Cowgirls' first Big 12 regular season loss since March 29, 2015, which also came in Lubbock. The Cowgirls (14-4, 2-1 Big 12) were faced with strong winds throughout the match with gusts measuring around 23 miles per hour at first serve. After the Red Raiders handed OSU only its third doubles point loss of the season to open the match, the Cowgirls opened singles by taking four first sets. OSU used wins from Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Stresnakova to tie the match at two; however, Texas Tech would close the door on an OSU comeback with two three-set wins to clinch the victory. "Texas Tech has a great home court advantage," head coach Chris Young said. "You come here and they have great crowd support, and obviously the conditions are always tough. They used that to their advantage today, and I give them credit. They got the doubles point and got off to a really good start. We won four first sets and the girls competed well, but in the end, they went for the shots and we were just a little bit too defensive." The Red Raiders used wins on courts one and three to secure the doubles point. Seniors Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic fell to Texas Tech's Alba Cortina-Pou and Alex Valenstein, 6-1, on three before Cowgirls Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari were defeated by No. 36 Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici, 6-2, on one. Before doubles was suspended, Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco had stormed back from being down, 5-2, in their match to tie No. 73 Gabriela Talaba and Felicity Maltby at five games apiece. Lushkova wasted no time pulling the Cowgirls back into the match, posting one of the best performances of her senior season in a dominant, 6-1, 6-3 triumph over No. 17 Gabriela Talaba. The 10th-ranked Lushkova overwhelmed Talaba, overpowering the Red Raider junior for her 92nd career win. The win puts Lushkova only two wins away from tying herself as the winningest Cowgirl in the Big 12 era. "I'm really proud of Viktoriya," Young said. "That's why she's the best player in the Big 12, and she showed that today. I'm really proud that she showed the effort that she did. For her to come out and quickly get us back even at one says a lot about her as a senior. Talaba has had a really good Big 12 season so far, and for Viktoriya to win the match like that, I thought that was really impor-tant. That's her being a senior, stepping up and responding from doubles." The Cowgirls and Red Raiders traded wins on courts four and six to find themselves tied yet again at two. Babic fell, 6-4, 6-1, to Sarah Dvorak on court four to briefly give Tech the lead, but Stresnakova would respond by finishing off a hard-fought, back-and-forth second set over Katelyn Jackson on six to pick up the 6-4, 6-4 win. With the win, Stresnakova pushed her perfect dual record this season to 8-0. The Red Raiders would strike back with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 win over Katarina Adamovic at No. 2 to take a 3-2 advantage. After giving up a 7-5 first set to Alex Valenstein, freshman Aliona Bolsova bounced back nicely in the form of a 6-0 second set victory. In the decisive third set, however, Valenstein would pull away late to notch a match-clinching 7-5, 0-6, 6-3 win. As the match was clinched, freshman Lena Ruppert held a 3-2 lead in the third set of her match on five with Sabrina Federici.

LAS VEGAS – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team closed out its whirlwind road trip to Las Vegas on Monday, sweeping Washing-ton State, 4-0, in a neutral site match at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The win was the Cowgirls' (13-3, 1-0 Big 12) fifth straight and also marked the team's seventh sweep of the season. "I really liked our energy today," head coach Chris Young said. "We came out with a goal today of competing at a high level and we did that. I'm really happy with how we finished this trip." Oklahoma State dominated the Cougars from start to finish, easily taking the doubles point before posting three quick, straight-set victories in singles to wrap up the match in just over an hour and a half. In doubles, the OSU utilized 6-1 wins from its top two doubles teams to gain an early advantage. Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari overpowered Cougars Barbora Michalkova and Victoria Matajevic on court one to move to 9-3 on the dual season. Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco kept rolling, as they dropped Lejla Colic and Aneta Miksovska on No. 2 for their second win of the weekend. The Cowgirls wasted no time dispatching of the Cougars in singles play, getting wins from freshmen Aliona Bolsova and Lena Ruppert, along with sophomore Katarina Stresnakova to secure the OSU triumph. Ruppert and Stresnakova struck first on courts five and six, respectively, to expand the Cowgirl advantage to 3-0. Stresnakova notched her seventh consecutive win in a dominant, 6-0, 6-1, victory over Lejla Colic to move to 17-5 on the season with her second win of the weekend. Ruppert picked up a 6-1, 6-1 tally over Melisa Ates to boost her overall record to 18-4. Bolsova finished off the match for the Cowgirls, defeating Barbora Mi-chalkova, 6-4, 6-2, on court two. Bolsova leads all Cowgirls in overall wins this season, taking her second match of the roadtrip on Monday to snag her 21st victory. Each of the remaining three Cowgirls still on the court as the match was suspended boasted a first-set advantage, and some held significant leads in their second sets. Junior Vladica Babic dropped Aneta Miksovska, 6-3, in the first set on No. 3 and led, 3-0, in the second as play was halted. Carla Tur Mari took her first set, 6-3, before jumping out to a 3-2 lead in the second. After taking her first set, 6-3, Katarina Adamovic was tied at one with Guzal Yusupova in the second set on No. 2.

STILLWATER – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team continued Big 12 play on Friday with a 4-0 victory over No. 30 Texas at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. Oklahoma State (14-3; 2-0 Big 12) has now won 16-straight regular season conference matches dating back to March 29, 2015. Friday's win is also the eighth time this season that Cowgirls have swept their opposition. "I thought our girls handled adversity well today," head coach Chris Young said. "Every match was a challenge, but I thought our girls were in control of their matches and I liked the way we competed. Texas is a quality team and we knew that they were going to compete. "We know we're going to get everybody's best shot, but that's the responsi-bility of being the defending conference champions and NCAA runner-up." The Cowgirls once again started off quickly, as they claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Aliona Bolsova and Katarina Stresnakova, competing on court two, were the first to claim victory on Friday, as the Cowgirl tandem picked up a 6-4 win over Neda Korpcina and Anna Turati. Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic, ranked No. 17 in the nation, then proceeded to seal the Cowgirls' 15th doubles point of the season with a 6-3 win over Texas' Petra Granic and Dani Wagland. "I thought our doubles looked really sharp with the combinations that we had to put out there," Young said. "We thought it was a good opportunity to mix some things up. We had six healthy bodies to put out there and those six girls went out there and did a great job." Oklahoma State continued its form in the ensuing singles action, picking up wins on courts one, three and six to secure the squad's 14th win of the season. Sofia Blanco was the first Cowgirl to secure a point on Friday, as she dropped Texas' Dani Wagland in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Blanco's match was the only singles contest to be decided in straight sets, with the remaining five courts all entering a decisive third. Of those matches that advanced into the third set, freshman Aliona Bolsova was the next Cowgirl to put a point on the board. The right-hander powered through the third set in her matchup against No. 63 Petra Granic en route to winning, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Bolsova's win was followed up by Viktoriya Lushkova's match-clinching victory on court one. Lushkova found herself down a break early in the first set, but battled back to pull level at 4-4 before dropping the set to Bianca Turati, who is ranked No. 26 in the nation. The senior found her rhythm again in the second set, however, and went on to win 12 of the final 15 games as she locked up the match for the Cowgirls. "I thought that was a great win for Viki," Young said. "She lost to Turati in straight sets back in the fall when we were hosting that Futures tournament. I know she wanted to come back and get that win, and for that to be the one that clinched only made it better for the team."

KANSAS NO. 23 0

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 9 4

The ninth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team closed out a perfect home weekend Sunday afternoon with its second-straight sweep, dropping No. 23 Kansas, 4-0, at the Greenwood Tennis Center. The win marked the Cowgirls' 10th sweep of the season and sixth-straight shutout of the Jayhawks. The Cowgirls (17-4, 5-1 Big 12) handled the shorthanded Jayhawks in an hour and 45 minutes, taking doubles with a win on court one after Kansas was unable to field a team at No. 3. In singles, with another Jayhawk forfeit on court six, OSU used straight-set wins from Aliona Bolsova and Vladica Babic to quickly clinch the match. OSU overwhelmed the Jayhawks in doubles, with both Cowgirl tandems jumping out to 5-2 leads on their respective courts. It was Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari that would seal up the point, besting No. 35 Tess Bernard Feigenbaum and Nina Khmelnitckaia, 6-2 in the top spot for their second win of the weekend to move to 20-5 overall this season. The Cowgirls came out hot in singles, taking four of five first sets to put the Jayhawks on their heels early. After sitting out in singles for Friday's match against Kansas State, OSU freshman Aliona Bolsova didn't miss a beat Sunday, dropping Janet Koch easily, 6-2, 6-2 on three. With the win, Bolsova extended her impressive team-leading win total to 23. "I think I needed rest (Friday), because my body was pretty tired," Bolsova said. "I got my body ready to go and it worked because I played a really good match today." For the second time this weekend, Vladica Babic clinched the Cowgirl win with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Nina Khmelnitckaia at No. 4. Babic posted an impressive weekend to rebound from a two-match skid last week, picking up two straight-set wins to move to 16-8 overall on the year. The Cowgirls now look ahead to next weekend, which will bring No. 41 Oklahoma to the Greenwood Tennis Center for a Bedlam contest Friday at 5 p.m. "You want to finish the season on a high note, and you want to finish the season undefeated at home," head coach Chris Young said. "All of the goals we have are right there playing at home. You get to play your rival, and on top of that it's Senior Day. I know the girls will want to play well. We had a good week of practice this week, and I think it showed with how we played this weekend." The match will also serve as Senior Day, where Katarina Adamovic, Vikto-riya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari will each be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Oklahoma State tennis program. During their time in Stillwater, the senior trio has combined for 250 singles wins, 266 doubles wins, three All-America honors and 10 All-Big 12 accolades while helping the Cowgirls to an 85-24 dual record. "I'm looking forward to Friday," Young said. "I'm hoping we get a really good crowd out here to send these seniors off in a positive way because they've meant so much to this program that they deserve to have a really good home match."

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 7 4

TCU NO. 33 2

FORT WORTH, Texas – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team rebounded from last Friday's tough loss to No. 6 Texas Tech with a 4-2 victory at No. 33 TCU on Sunday afternoon. The win marked the sixth-straight win for the Cowgirls over the Horned Frogs and the second this season. "I am really proud of our girls for bouncing back after a tough match on Friday," head coach Chris Young said. "Our league is tough and every match is a battle, so I am happy to get this one and return home for a couple of matches this weekend." With play moved inside due to weather, the Cowgirls (15-4, 3-1 Big 12) came out firing in doubles, tallying wins on courts two and three to overpower the Horned Frogs and take early control of the match. Finding themselves trailing, 3-2, against TCU's Seda Arantekin and Aleksandra Zenovka on court two, Cowgirls Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco won four-straight games to win, 6-3, and claim the first win of the day for OSU. Seniors Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic sealed the point, handling Alexis Pereira and Sofiko Kadzhaya, 6-2, for the tandem's fifth doubles clincher of the season. The Horned Frogs put up a fight in singles, taking a couple of matches on three and four; however, the Cowgirls' depth in singles proved to be too much for TCU to handle, as seniors Adamovic and Lushkova shut the door on the Horned Frogs and led OSU to its third win of the conference season. Due to action being moved inside and the indoor facility only having five courts, singles play began with matches one through five starting first and the sixth match starting up as soon as a court became available. Freshman Lena Ruppert quickly inflated the Cowgirls' lead, dropping TCU's Caroline Wegner, 6-1, 6-0, on court five. With the win, Ruppert moved to 19-4 overall on the year, and expanded her win streak to four. Of her 19 wins this season, 16 have come in straight sets. Following Ruppert's victory, the Cowgirls and Horned Frogs traded victories on courts two and three, beginning with a 6-2, 6-3 Sofiko Kadzhaya win over Bolsova on No. 3 to cut the OSU advantage to 2-1. Katarina Adamovic would respond with a 6-2, 6-2 handling of Aleksandra Zenovka in the second singles spot to push the lead back to two and put OSU just a point away from the win. The Cowgirl senior collected her 10th dual win of the season, moving to 17-6 overall. For the seventh time this season, Viktoriya Lushkova secured the victory for the Cowgirls on court one. Lushkova gutted out a three-set tally over No. 81 Seda Arantekin, taking the first set in a tiebreaker and rebounding from a tough second-set loss to take the third, 6-2. It marked the senior's 93rd win, putting her just one away from tying Linda Faltynkova as the winningest Cowgirl in the Big 12 era. As the match was clinched, sophomore Katarina Stresnakova was a game away from locking up her eighth-straight win, leading TCU's Marie Norris, 5-0, in the third set on No. 6.

OKLAHOMA STATE NO. 9 4

STILLWATER – The ninth-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team turned in its ninth sweep of the season Friday night at the Greenwood Tennis Center, handling Big 12 foe Kansas State, 4-0, to extend the nation's second-longest home win streak to 30 matches. "I feel really good about this team and where we are," head coach Chris Young said. "Actually, I think we're in the best place that we've been all season as a team, and I think that showed tonight. We came out and were really ag-gressive in doubles, and then in singles, the girls came out and did what they needed to do." The Cowgirls (16-4, 4-1 Big 12) came out strong, picking up a pair of con-vincing wins in doubles before carrying that momentum over to singles, where they used straight-set wins from underclassmen Lena Ruppert and Katarina Stresnakova to set up junior Vladica Babic for the match-clinching victory. "Katie (Stresnakova) and Lena (Ruppert) are playing as well as anyone right now, and that showed today. I really liked that (Vladica Babic) got back on track today and had a really good performance. She played like she's been practic-ing this week, so I'm very excited about those girls." In doubles, Katarina Adamovic and Viktoriya Lushkova wasted no time get-ting the Cowgirls' first win of the day on the board. The seniors shut out Kansas State's Iva Bago and Livia Cirnu, 6-0, on court three to move to 13-3 overall on the season. Babic and Carla Tur Mari got back on track after a tough loss last weekend with a 6-1 win over Ana Garcia Navas and Millie Stretton to secure the point and give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead. Despite a last-minute lineup change at the No. 3 spot, Oklahoma State opened singles by taking five first sets from the Wildcats before quickly finish-ing off the match with three straight-set wins just over an hour and a half after the first serve of doubles. Ruppert added the first singles point for the Cowgirls, recording her fourth shutout of the dual season in a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Kansas State's Ana Garcia Navas. It marked her 20th win of the year and fifth straight. "I think I played pretty well," Ruppert said. "I felt confident on the court. Last week, I didn't play well. I wasn't confident at all, but I came back this week and had a really good week of practice." Shortly after Ruppert's win, Katarina Stresnakova piled on with a 6-2, 6-0 tally over Maria Panaite to remain perfect on the spring season. Stresnakova moved to 19-5 overall with an unblemished 9-0 dual mark. The sophomore has won 14-straight regular season dual matches, with her last loss coming on Feb. 26 of last season. With her third match-clinching win of the year, Vladica Babic broke a two-match slump Friday night as she dropped Ines Mesquita, 6-1, 6-3, to earn her 15th triumph of the season and push the Cowgirls to their second-straight victory.
