Heifer calves with the soundness and capacity 644A possesses are good indicators of high quality productive females. Rebello 644A represents the first offering of our new Max bull, an outcross to our program. Max is a dark red, super stout beef bull with awesome feet and leg structure. The dam, 110U ranks in the top 10% for 8 of the traits listed by the CAA.

Whitzel 620A is a very well balanced, complete, showy Trapper daughter. She is a pater-nal sister to last years high selling heifer calf, Valentine 337Z and this springs high selling bull, Traverse 387Z.

I would describe this heifer as the “right kind”. Others have used words like, “growth, muscle, extra bone, deep, thick, feminine, wide based” and the list goes on and on. 46The Lazy MC pick of the herd bull calf lot is set to be a tradition in the ‘CowGirls’ event. As with every year, weoffer this purchasing opportunity with great anticipation and excitement.

Red Lazy MC Trooper 21Y was the $20,000 selection for Lakeview Ag & Cattle, ID in the 2011 sale. He went on to be the most decorated bull calf in the 2011-2012 show season. Watch for him at Denver 2014. His semen packages also sell in this years event.

In last years sale. Red Lazy MC Sergeant 97Z was the high selling $22,000 pick to Strawberry Ridge Reds, MT. 97Z was a member of our class winning pen of bulls at the Medicine Hat Pen Show and has been a strong breeding sire for the Frazier and Newberry families. Watch for him at World West and NILE this fall - semen packages will be available. These young sires are already leaving their mark and this years offering is poised to set the bar even higher!

Our 2013 calf crop includes some great individuals from each of our sire groups including Soldier, Tradesman, Forum, Eye Spy, Trooper and New Attraction. The new buyer will have until February 2014 to select a herd bull. Some of the bull calves will be shown at the fall events and Denver.

Our program has focused on a balanced design including calving ease, performance, fleshing ability, maternal strength and phenotype. Our black/red carrier influence offers out-cross genetics with many dams out of elite sires including Red RMJ Redman 1T, Red Lazy MC Cowboy Cut 26U and Red Lazy MC Smash 41N. We feel confident in the direction we are taking and always strive to improve every aspect of the herd from carcass information to maternal ability. Once again, some of our best calves are out of first calf heifers.

Ambush is a moderate, easy fleshing beef bull with the balance and eye appeal we desire. We are using Ambush to improve maternal traits and hold the line on frame while maintaining the easy doing efficient cattle we like. His pedigree is full of leading cows like Jinny 26C, Soapy 770L, Joe 369S(Kuruba), Kuruba 622F and 842L along with known herd building sires like Knight, Red Lightning, Patriot and Boomer. His Dam, 369S could be the most talked about cow at SSS. Her phenotype is flawless with excellent udder quality. She has a Trapper bred heifer in the “keeper” pen and a Break Out 114Y heifer calf at this point that is untouchable.No semen has ever been released on 771X. This will be the only semen available on 771X for the 2014 breeding season.

Since being the $20,000, 2011 ‘CowGirls’ sale topping bull calf to Lakeview Ag & Cattle, Trooper has developed into a tremendous breeding bull. He is a dark red, long sided, easy fleshing sire. He will fulfill the expectations his phenotype provides siring both high sellers and champions with structural integrity, desirable muscle, bone, body and hair. Use Trooper with confidence!

Venom is possibly one of Cowboy Cut’s top sons. He is also backed by one of the breeds top dams, HXC Jolene 301N, making him a maternal brother to ABS sensation HXC Jackhammer.
