Meet Your Lieutenant Governor: Jayce Williams!

Dear Division 28,

! I am so excited to begin a year school year filled with service,

friendship, and adventure. Thank you for taking on the challenge to

serve your home, school, and community. We are going to have an

exciting year!

! High school is all about finding your voice. We are all trying to

find ourselves as we begin to take the first steps toward adulthood. This

is why I choose Mahatma Ghandi’s words for the Quote of the Month. As

you begin this year, as you continue to search for and embrace your

identity, remember that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself

in giving to others.

! So make this year count! It is in YOUR hands! Don’t let a

moment go by without embracing it and learning from it.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself

in the service of others.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

Quote of the Month:

The 2013-2014 Texas-Oklahoma board met for the

annual SUmmer Board conference from July

19th-21st to discuss what they could do to make this

year phenomenal.

Save the Date! Saturday, August 17th will be my first PCM! It will be held at Baytown Christian Academy (5555 North Main Baytown, Tx, 77521) from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. There will be food!

Fall Training Conference! It is very important that everyone attend this event! It will be a way for your officers to really get comfortable with their positions. It will be held Saturday, September 28th at Baytown Christian Academy (5555 N Main Baytown, Tx 77521)

Fall Rally! This an extremely fun time where the Texas-Oklahoma District comes together to kick off the school year. It will be held on September 28 at Six Flags in Arlington, TX. Please let me know if you want to attend so we can arrange carpool!

Recent and Upcoming Events!

` Projects!

International Project

Kiwanis has partnered with UNICEF to work to end maternal and neonatal tetanus worldwide by the year 2015.

This will require $110 million raised by people like me and you! We are currently at $35 million which mean we have quite a ways to go!

Think about what you can do to raise money for ELIMINATE. From bake sales to car washes, we can eliminate this deadly disease one step at a time.

Governor’s Project!

The District Governor over

Texas and Oklahoma, Luke

Broussard, has issued his

project to be an anti-bullying

campaign entitled Kick’N

Bully’N to the Curb.

I couldn’t be more excited

about this project! Think about

what your club could do to

help combat negative forces in

our hallways!

Divisional Project!

TBA :(

If I have not scheduled a meeting with your club, please let me know so I can at least meet with you guys before the school year starts! :)
