Small UAS Rule

• Good step toward safe integration• See and avoid required• Applies to UAS weighing 55 lbs or

less, used in non-recreational operations• Daytime, line-of-sight only

• Can’t fly above 500 feet or faster than 100 mph

•Must stay 500 feet below and 2,000 feet horizontal from clouds

• Can operate in Class B, C, D airspace with prior ATC permission

• Pilots must be certified and pass a knowledge test every 2 years

• Aircraft must be registered and display an N number
