I want to say thank youthank youthank youto all of you for all the prayers, patience, support and donations of all kinds. The prayer flags are hanging in the hallway from the church office to the sanctuary if you would like to take a few moments to read and pray through them. As I stated in worship on Sunday that at times we focus on numbers. I look at numbers in a different way when it comes to attendance. I am glad we had the numbers we had for VBS and yes they were definitely up from years past with a total of 131 registered! But what excites me more is the quality of programming we have for VBS as well as for the childrens ministry and ALL the programming throughout Morris Chapel. VBS cannot happen without dedicated and passionate volunteers and I know for sure that ours are surely dedicated and passionate beyond measure! We had over 90 volunteers each night! The theme this year was Everest: Conquering challenges with Gods mighty power. We started off each night with announcements, prayer and supper. Then the preschoolers went to their rooms to begin their night and the elementary school kids gathered in front of the stage for a little pick me up from me and on a few nights from our very own Sally the Soup Can. The one thing I kept reminding them as they were on their adventures each nightwas to try to see God not just everywhere, but in the details and the unexpected. Each of the kids, volunteers and parents are definitely God sightings. Seeing and feeling the energy was contagious. All the groups traveled to crafts, music, recreation, imagination station and Bible story time. At the end of each night as the kids came back into the family life center, I would ask them what they learned, which group found the hidden item of the night and where they saw God. The kids were asked to bring in non-perishable food items for our food pantry and school supplies for the kids in Jamaica. The kids donated a grand total of 786 items!!!! The girls brought in 361 and boys 425! After the boys erupted with cheers I explained that yes the boys won this year and girls won last year BUT those who will be receiving the items that were donated are the TRUE WINNERS!!!! Weekly Message by Samantha Wesley

What I know for sure…that our God is an awesome God! The presence of the Lord was surely ALL over Morris Chapel last week during VBS! The Lord was here before that and will be after VBS! Praise be to God!

I want to say thank you…thank you…thank you… to all of you for all the prayers, patience, support and donations of all kinds.

But what excites me more is the quality of programming we have for VBS as well as for the children’s ministry and ALL the programming throughout Morris Chapel.

VBS cannot happen without dedicated and passionate volunteers and I know for sure that ours are surely dedicated and passionate beyond measure! We had over 90 volunteers each night!

The theme this year was Everest: Conquering challenges with God’s mighty power. We started off each night with announcements, prayer and supper. Then the preschoolers went to their rooms to begin their night and the elementary school kids gathered in front of the stage for a little pick me up from me and on a few nights from our very own Sally the Soup Can. Dear Congregation:

Several members have asked when can they give ideas for the Morris Chapel North property. The answer is anytime. You may share your idea with any member of the GVT. However, for the great ideas to be aligned with Who we as a congregation say we are and what we as a congregation say is important to us, We as a congregation have to answer those questions.

Please complete the survey; all voices should be heard. It is hoped more than the small percentage that has responded know who we are and what we value and believe. The survey will be available for those who visit tonight and online until July 3rd. The data can also be used for other future planning projects.

Thanks for your dedication to Morris Chapel and our Savior. In God's Will, the GVT
