My Dear Parishioners, Last Tuesday, we were informed that Sr. Kathleen Fitzpatrick, our Director of Religious Education, will be transferred from our parish. I was very saddened by this news and I know that so many of you will be saddened as well. Sr. Kathleen has served our parish for the past ten years working very hard in the faith formation of our children and adults as well as bringing a loving and joyful presence to OLA. I want to thank Sr. Kathleen for all the years she has given to our parish and for the blessing she has been to so many of us. “Sr. Kathleen, may God continue to bless you and give you His peace during this time of transition - we will miss you!” In addition to saying goodbye to Sr. Kathleen, we must also sadly say goodbye to Sr. Beverly Ann Pellegrino. Sr. Beverly Ann has faithfully served on the faculty at Assumption Academy for the past two years. She has been a wonderful teacher and a good & shining exam-ple of God’s love to our little children. I thank Sr. Beverly for the time she has given here at OLA, for her loving and joyful presence and the many ways she has been a blessing to so many. “Sr. Beverly, may God continue to bless you as you begin this new chapter in your life and know that you too will be missed!” In the pew this weekend are Pastoral Council ballots. Every parishioner, 18 years and older, is able to participate in the election of Pastoral Council members. Please vote for 4 candidates and sign the ballot in order for it to be valid and counted. Please vote - only once. I want to thank all of our parishioners who have responded so positively to our recent Increased Offertory Program which took place over the course of the past year culminating with our Stewardship Sunday in March. Our collections have grown stronger and I have been so edified by the positive responses of so many. To show my gratitude for your listening to my appeal and for your prayerful/financial support, I would like to make Sunday, June 9th “Gratitude Sunday”. Light refreshments will be served that weekend in the Piazza after all of our Masses. Everyone is invited to gather in gratitude for “My OLA + My Family of Faith”.

Mothers’ Home

Remember to pick up a Baby Bottle to fill with a donation for Mothers’ Home in Darby, PA! Please return them by/on Father’s Day, 6/16/2019. Mother’s Home is a program to provide hope & sup-port for young women who choose life for the unborn.

OLA Altar Servers Needed It’s not just for students anymore. We seek adult Catholics to be of service to our God and our Priests at the Altar during Mass.
