My Family Christmas Eve

The beginnig of the supper

Most Polish families promote the old tradition and it works at

my home as well. The start of our family supper is marked by

the appearance of the first star in the sky.

The performance and our Christmas carols.

● Every year me and my sisters prepare a performance, when

● we sing Christmas carols, play instruments and tell poems.

● It introduces the family into Christmas mood . Then we sing

Christmas carols together.

Sharing the wafer

Directly before the supper, all the family members share the wafer and express wishes for each other.

Supper

● We sit to the supper when ● on the table it's 8 or 9 dishes.

They are obligatory: carp, dumplings with mushrooms, red

borsch, gingerbread, ● and many more.

Presents

● There are some presents under the Christmas tree

● for the kids but not only ● for them. They are from Santa

Claus. We unwrap gifts together.

End of the meeting

● Next, we decide where we can eat the next day's Christmas dinner,

we share the rest ● of the food with the family

● and we are happy to go home.
