TAPR Overview
Due to changes in legislation, the performance report formerly known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) report is now the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR)
AEIS was published from 1990-91 to 2011-12. Archived AEIS reports may be found on the AEIS Archives page through TEA
The TAPR provides information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.
Differences from Previous AEIS Reports
STAAR Proficiency and STAAR Progress Measures results are shown
Inclusion of two new postsecondary indicators
Replacement of financial profile section with direct HTML link to 2012-13 Financial Actual Report
Changes to This Year’s TAPR EOC : The EOC results include the
following◦ English I/Reading I combined (2014 only)◦ English II/Reading II combined (2014 only)◦ Algebra I (2013 and 2014)◦ Biology (2013 and 2014)◦ U.S. History (2014 only)
TAKS:◦ TAKS Exit-Level Cumulative is reported for the Class
of 2014, the last class tested under TAKS. (district performance only)
◦ TAKS Prior Year Failers – Since there were no grade 11 TAKS results available in 2014, TAKS Prior Year Failers are no longer reported

TSI Higher Education Readiness Component – Since there were no grade 11 TAKS results available in 2014, the TSA Higher Education Readiness Component is no longer reported.
Changes to This Year’s TAPR
Class Size Averages by Grade and Subject – “Mixed Grades” is no longer reported as a grade.

Campus Performance Objectives
Texas Education Code §11.253 requires that each campus improvement plan set objectives based on the TAPR and periodically measure progress toward the performance objectives. These objectives must be approved by the local Board of Trustees and must be included in the published TAPR.
Each Campus Improvement Plan includes performance objectives and was Approved by the Board of Trustees on October 8, 2014.
