Oh, by the way,

The Passion of the Christ As we journey through Lent, the liturgy always

points to the Triduum. The middle day, Good Friday

is indeed somber and soul-wrenching. In preparation

and reflection for that day, the Liturgy/ Social

Activities Committees of St. Peter Parish Council,

The Passion of the Christ will be shown in the

Parish Hall next Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Sign-up sheets

will be posted. NO ONE under 18 unless

accompanied by their parent. Q & A afterwards.

During Lent, the Way of the Cross are celebrated

on:

Friday: 4:00 p.m., St. Joseph;

Friday, 7:00 p.m., St. Peter

Sundays, 1:30 p.m., St. Joseph

Meanwhile, back at the ranch….fr. K

Quick one-liners for you:

◼As a head-up: 21 April is Easter. The 3rd Sunday of a

month is our customary date for the Lazarus Collection. To avoid a mass confusion, our Cluster’s Lazarus collection for April will be the previous week-end, 13/14 April. Please be watching for specifics. Thank you.

◼How many sides does a circle have? 2! (Inside and outside)

◼The ladies of St. Joseph will be cleaning the church basement on

Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:00 P.M. in preparation for the Chicken & Noodle dinner. Please plan to offer your assistance!

◼Any ladies interested in joining the Ladies of Charity organization are asked

to please contact Delores Girton at 946-3785 or you may contact the Cluster Office during business hours.

◼RE Classes will resume this coming Wednesday, April 3rd at 5:30 P.M. All

students will be participating in the Way of the Cross for a portion of their class period. See you then!

◼Next weekend, the Land of Peace organization will be visiting our Cluster Parishes to

sell their religious articles. Land of Peace is a nonprofit Christian organization committed to improving the lives of the faithful who are descended from those who first took the message of Jesus and chose to walk in his paths. The main goal of Land of Peace is to establish a Charitable Hospital in

Bethlehem to help the Community. The only source of income for Land of Peace is by selling the religious carvings form the Holy Land that are hand made by the Carvers and artisans in Bethlehem area from materials such as Olive Wood or Mother of Pearl. You may recall they visiting our Cluster several years

ago. Please make time to stop and look at what they have to offer and make them feel welcome to our Parishes.

It’s Strange, isn’t it? Isn’t it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when

you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn’t it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you’re at church, and how

short they seem when you’re watching a good movie?

Isn’t it strange that you can’t find a word to say when you’re praying, but

you have no trouble thinking what to say about with a friend?

Isn’t it strange how difficult and boring it is to read 1 chapter of the Bible,

but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?

Isn’t it strange how everyone wants front row tickets to concerts or games,

but they do whatever is possbile to sit at the last row in Church?

Isn’t it strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3

weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can

adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn’t it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with

others, but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn’t it strange how we believe everything that magazines and

newspapers say, but we question the words in the Bible?

Isn’t it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don’t

want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?

Isn’t it strange how we send jokes in emails and they are forwarded right

away, but when we are going to send messages about God, we think

about it twice before we share it with others?

It’s Strange, isn’t it?
