Ms Linda Naylor- Issoudun Coordinator

Welcome

Acknowledgement of Country

We, as a school community, come together to recognise the traditional people of our land. We recognise the Wurundjeri tribe as those who lived on the soil on which we stand. The Tharawaltribe must also be acknowledged as those who traditionally resided in the area around Burradoo. We will have the wonderful opportunity to experience their country. We thank, and pay our respects to the tribes whose land on which we meet today, and whose land we will visit.

All: In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Leader: May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere lovedAll: Forever

LeaderDear God,We say a prayer of thanks for today, tomorrow and yesterday. We are grateful for the future, and we are thankful for this Year 9 experience.Watch over us girls as we travel, and grant us a safe, and happy Issoudun journey that we will remember and learn from.We are grateful to our teachers and parents for making this journey possible. May we embrace every opportunity.

Amen.

Leader: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, All: Pray for us.

Issoudun Overview

Mrs Jo Bradley

Je Suis (I am) is a program looking beyond and stepping out of the school gates. It is a journey of transformation that will take students on a discovery along many pathways in the local community, city (Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne) and rural settings (country Victoria and NSW).

It is a time of making connections, inspiration, challenge, vision, courage and risk. It will foster student’s curious minds, critical and creative thinking, social awareness, independence, leadership, faith and confidence and community service (H4O –Hearts for others).

Students will gain and develop life skills that they can apply and transfer to any situations. Students will continually engage, explore, explain and extend the Big questions. Their experiences will enable them to reflect on what it means to them as well as for others and with others.
