Install SACS 5.4 on Newer Systems

Installing SACS 5.4

As of November 2014, SACS 5.4 is still available via the Bentley Select Fulfilment Center. However, some users may have trouble installing this legacy version due to incompatibility with their version of Internet Explorer.

SACS 5.4 Installation Error

• If you get the following error when trying to install SACS 5.4, then additional steps must be taken in order to install SACS 5.4:

Step 1: Uninstall Current Version of Internet Explorer

• Click the Start menu and open “View Installed Updates”.

• Locate Windows Internet Explorer, right-click and select “Uninstall”, then Restart Windows.

Step 2: Download and Install Internet Explorer 9

• Click the following link corresponding to the version of your operating system to download Internet Explorer 9:

Windows 7 (32-Bit)

Windows 7 (64-Bit)

Windows Vista (32-Bit)

Windows Vista (64-Bit)

• Install Internet Explorer 9 and restart Windows.

Step 3: Install SACS 5.4

• Install SACS 5.4 like you would normally. You should not get the previous error.

Step 4: Update Internet Explorer

• Navigate to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/internet-explorer.aspx and download the latest version of Internet Explorer. Select the version which corresponds to the version of your operating system (32-bit or 64-bit).

• Install Internet Explorer and restart Windows.
