    Abstract:

The impact of radially non-symmetric multiple stenosis on blood flow through an artery have

been analyzed by assuming blood as Power-law fluid model. The equations governing the flow

of the proposed model are solved and closed from expressions for the blood flow characteristics,

namely, dimensionless resistance to flow and wall shear stress at maximum depression for

different points of a single loop stenosis. It has been found that the resistance to flow and wall

shear stress decreases as stenosis shape parameter increases while both increases as stenosis size

and stenosis length increases. This model is able to predict the main characteristics of the

physiological flows and may have some interest in biomedical application.

Keywords: Stenosis, Power-law fluid model, Resistance to flow, Wall shear stress, Radially

    non-symmetric.

    ABSTRACT:

The service sector is evolving. Services sector has been particularly important for India.

This paper focuses on the major growing prospective for Indias services sector. In the

beginning, the paper dwells briefly on the importance of services for India in terms of GDP

growth. The paper then directly examines the current scenario of services market. Domestic

policy issues cover many areas like FDI. FDI related policy measures include putting the FDI

policy on the website in a user friendly way and opening atleast some segments of insurance

sector like health Market access issues include domestic regulations, subsidies and other barriers

in Indias major markets which deny market access for Indias services exports. By evaluating

the performance of services sector we can identify its importance and the major issues in services

sector. In the Executive Summary and Conclusion the important reforms which need to be

initiated and implemented in the short run are listed. The paper concludes that immediate and

time-bound reforms in the services sector could not only help in attaining Indias targeted GDP

growth rates, but also give a fillip to growth and exports of this services-led-economy.

    Abstract:

Selling costs, in a down economy, are a major drag on the bottom line. Selling costs are the

budget items associated with sales personnel, their support staff, the departmental infrastructure,

and the at times considerable expense accounts for the sellers. While bonuses, commissions and

similar considerations are often variable and allow for scaling, many companies still find selling

costs overwhelmingly disproportionate with performance promises. Instead of driving results,

sales costs become a drag on results. Selling expenses do vary according to industry and

industry. It also gets differentiates as per market capitalization rate. The paper studies the impact

of selling expenses on the sales revenue. This relationship considers varied capitalization rate as

large Capitalization, Medium Capitalization, and small capitalization in pharmaceuticals

industry. It has been observed that in pharmaceuticals industry selling expenses do have a major

impact on figures of sales revenue whereas if observed specifically then only firms with small

capitalization value are able to get maximum benefit out of their selling expenses. Firms with

large capitalization value do not require much too spend on selling expenses because they

already have their brand equity in market and firms with medium capitalization value have more

focus on appointment of more and more medical representatives.

Key Words: Market capitalization rate, selling expenses, net sales.

    Abstract:

Purpose: The role of work has changed throughout the world due to economic conditions and

social demands. Throughout the years, the role of work has evolved and the composition of the

workforce has changed. Today, work still is a necessity but it should be a source of personal

satisfaction as well. One of the vehicles that assists in providing attainment of personal and

professional goals is work- life benefits and programmes. The purpose of the paper is to give an

indication of how an organizations work life balance policies assist its employees in balancing

their work and life responsibilities and to explore the two-way interaction between personal

relationships and paid work in order to provide information to employers.

Design/Methodology/Approach: Exploratory Research is used during the study. The data was

collected using two questionnaires by 180 employees from three leading BPO company in NCR(60 each ). The first questionnaire was about various policies available within an organization

and to what extent are they assisting employees in maintaining the work-life balance. The second

questionnaire was aimed at exploring as to how people feel their work and personal relationships

affect each other, and what workplaces could be doing to reap the benefits of good personal

    relationships.

Findings: This report summarizes the findings of surveys for employees conducted in A, B and

C.It shows that some of our sample population, both men and women, place a higher priority ontheir relationships than their paid work with nearly 30% having turned down a job, promotion or

transfer because it would impact badly on their relationship.

Practical Implication: This project gives a historical perspective, data and possible solutions

for organizations and employees aliketo work-life balance. It offers the perspective that human

resource professionals can assist their companies to capitalize on these factors by using work

life initiatives to gain a competitive advantage in the market place.

Key Words: Personal and Professional Goals, Personal Satisfaction, Work Life Balance, Work

    Abstract:

There is not a single organization in the world who is striving for higher levels of organizational

performance. To maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of all the employees , continual

training and development plays a vital role . The effects of training are of many folds like

productivity increase, better generation of internal resources, better profits, better customer

services and after all better quality of work life. Todays rapidly changing legal, technological,

economic and sociological environment further demands that employees should possess higher

level of knowledge and skills to cope up the requirement of new and more demanding

assignments. Training Need Analysis (TNA) help the managers/ trainers to develop a training

plan to identify where, when, how, who and what training need in a factory or organization.

After an expense of huge amounts, most of the organization could not receive the success of the

training program for different reasons. This study explores all those vital causes behind the

failure of effective training programmes at different industries situated at Chattisgarh. In the

conclusion, the study also identifies the level of understanding and skills of personnel attached

with those organsiations to conduct training programmes, their shortfalls and some development

suggestions so that ultimately success of the training programmes can be achieved by the

    organizations..

Key words: Development of Human Capital , Effective Training Programme, Environmental

impact on training , Industrial Training at Chattisgarh, Training Need Analysis.

2007-08. Forecasts using these methods are presented and comparison statistics and statistics of

errors for the methods are examined. It is found that Winters model forecasting produced better

forecasts than the rest of the methods. In general, the winters model always gives outstanding

forecasts than the other methods, as seen on the comparison statistics and statistics of error.

    ABSTRACT:

This essay focuses on the emergence of a medical- zoological discipline in colonial India under

the auspices of the Asiatic Society of Bengal. This historically unheeded institutional exercise,

framed as Ophiology of India, fashioned a particular medical ideology and played a significant

role in the conductive process of colonization. Ophiology of India not only gave enough

credence in confronting an alarming disease, but also became an integral part of colonial

Orientalist scholarship. Medicine and Orientalism both became important forms of colonial

knowledge and was conveniently employed by imperial authority for the purpose of command.

In course of discussion this paper both employed and questioned Saidian insight of Orientalism.

Keywords: Snake- poisoning, Ophiology of India, the Asiatic Society, tropical disease,

indigenous medicine, snake-stone, colonial medicine, Scientific Orientalism.

    Abstract:

The United States of America, which is considered as the super cop of the world could

not withstand the impact of global financial crisis as its economy crashed and crumbled. The

global financial crisis showed its devastating role not only on the developed countries but also on

the developing as well as the third world countries. It is the worst financial crisis the world has

ever experienced since the Great Depression of 1930. The reason for this recent crisis can be

summarized in just one word, -greed. Greed is the factor behind all the misbehavior that

eventually led to the crisis. Greed made people to forget common sense and prudence in all

aspects of financial management. In a normal situation, sub prime mortgage should not be done

at all. The banker needs to have enough collateral while lending a mortgage to protect

themselves from any possible financial risks if the payment of the house owner defaulted. As

people wanted to make more money, because the normal mortgage market did not have enough

room for growth anymore, people intruded to the much riskier world of sub prime mortgage. The

reasons for the financial crisis are at large, but the way it was projected by the media played a

crucial role in disseminating the information regarding the global financial crisis to the layman

around the globe, especially in India. The present paper studies on how the media played a role

in creating awareness on the global financial crisis in India.

Keywords: awareness, developing countries, financial crisis, financial discipline, media

    ABSTRACT:

In this research, an investigation of various microgeneration technologies is presented.

Microgeneration in newly build homes accounts for almost half of UK CO2 emissions and

energy demand savings and has been growing for several years. A survey has been conducted of

builders in Manchester city in the UK, and the results are presented together with an analysis of

implementation in new build houses. Based on the analysis, including an economic analysis of

Payback times, for four different technologies namely Wind Turbine, Solar Photovoltaic, Solar

Thermal System and Biomass System, this report helps the house building industry to realize the

risks and issues associated with building microgeneration units. In addition a case study of a

company specialised in the area of microgeneration has been done. The Case study looked at the

views of the company on the practical issues of microgeneration in the UK. These views are also

presented in the report. Solar thermal energy is found to be most attractive compared with the

three other microgeneration technologies. Finally key conclusions are drawn and some

suggestions are given for future work.

Key words: microgeneration, renewable energy, sustainable energy, sustainable buildings

    Abstract:

Transferring information on internet or on any public network is very common now-a-days.

However I is not a secure mean of transformation for transmitting any important information.

Anyone can hack, peek or copy the information. Therefore one would not prefer to transmit

important information without any protection in public network. Cryptography and

steganography are two techniques to protect your message. Cryptography leads your text to be

meaningless random codes. Steganography is new and exciting field; it involves embedding data

into a medium in a way which is not easily detectable. This paper implements the steganography

by converting the original data in to BCD code and then embedding the coded data in to digital

grayscale images to get stego image. Image steganography in this paper is implemented using

least significant bit insertion with BCD codes.

Keyword: Steganography, Least Significant bit, BCD codes, Encryption, grayscale images.
