What is Trello

Trello is a web-based project management application originally made by Fog Creek Software in 2011, that spun out to be its own company in 2014.

Let us now start on how to use Trello

Open your internet browser

Go to google.com

Type in Trello

To use Trello, we need to sign up for an account

After clicking you will be taken into the main page of your account

We need to verify the email address

To do this log in to the email that you provided during sign up

Find the email confirmation from Trello and open it. It will look like this

The first thing we will do is to create a board for our private use by clicking here

What is a card?

• Cards are the basic unit of a board. They might represent new software features, story leads, legal cases, things to buy at the store, freelance clients, potential employees, or customer support issues. Drag cards from list to list to indicate progression, status, or what-have-you. You can add people to cards, label them, vote, attach files, start conversations, create task checklists, and so on.

Now you can type the name of the card under the list name “Tutorial One”

What is a label?

A label is a way of categorizing a card by type, represented by a color and term or, for colorless labels, a term only. There are 10 label colors to choose from in Trello, and a colorless label option.

You can add attachment again by doing the same procedure again

Now the card can now serve as a guide, to check the progress of the card click on the tick marks on the

checklist

You can see that the progress bar moved to 50% because one of the two tasks was done already
