Dear Greenmount families

Seeking Your Feedback Late last year, a Parent Survey was distributed inviting parents to provide feedback to the school about school programs and processes. The results were collated and a summary provided in the Annual Report on our website. A ‘snapshot’ of collated responses to some of the questions is provided below. The results have also been presented to, and discussed by the School Board, Staff and P&C with follow up actions identified.

Part of the survey also asked for comments from parents – unfortunately this information was not successfully relayed and collected. I would like to again provide members of our school community with an opportunity to add comments by responding to the following questions via email [email protected] or in writing by Friday 19th May. What are two things that you consider to be a strength or positive about Greenmount

Primary School? Are there any areas for improvement that you could suggest?

Thank you for making the time to give us your responses.

Canteen News

Hi Everyone,

I am going to trial opening the canteen on Mondays, the first day open being the 29th of May 2017.

An updated menu will be printed and distributed throughout the school soon.

"Gluten Free" Beef & Vegie Rolls are now available everyday $4.00

Did you know Primary School Canteens in WA have to use " Canteen approved products" or have the "Heart Foundation" tick, this means less fat, salt and sugar in all products. Ice creams, icy poles & LOL's are only sold at lunchtime. Toni Saunders

Hi Parents and Friends of Greenmount Primary School!

My name is Penny and I have the pleasure of working with our

school community as Chaplain for 2017 each Tuesday and

Wednesday.

I have a varied background in music, IT, and counselling but

mostly I enjoy listening and getting to know people and helping

out. During term 1 I have discovered that Greenmount is an

exceptionally friendly community from hanging out with staff,

students, and parents before school, during breaks, and in the classrooms.

I am available to have a chat with any child or adult who would like some friendly

support or possibly some more specific help. I am also involved with ongoing 1-on-1 or

small group pastoral care where parents have specifically requested this. Please ring the

school or ask for me at reception if you would like to know more about me or the chap-

laincy role, or if you need a listening ear. It would be great to have a cuppa and get to

know you.

Dogs on School Grounds As some students may have allergies to dogs or may be easily frightened by them, we kindly ask that parents do not bring dogs onto the school grounds Gates All school gates, with the exception of the staff car park, are locked at 3.30pm. Staff Car Park Parents using the staff car park for dropping off and picking up of students are reminded that the staff car park is specifically for staff, disabled parking and Day Care buses only. Whilst we appreciate that at the start and end of school there is congestion in parking areas, it is important to be mindful of student safety and availability of parking for students who have specific requirements. Your cooperation with regard to these matters is very much appreciated.
