With most school routines back to normalwe have been able to pencil in some dates for scheduled activ- ities next term. Please check the updated calendar of events in todays newsletter and the Term Planner uploaded onto our school website. One important date to note is the starting date for Term 3. As the Department of Education has given schools an additional School Development Day due to the interruption of COVID-19, staff will be engaging in Professional Learning on Monday 20th July, and students will be returning to school on Tuesday 21st July. We have also rescheduled the Parent Interview day originally planned for Term 1. This will now be held on Tuesday 4th August. On this day, school will be closed from 12pm, with interview times being available from 12.30pm – 6pm. This means that students will need to be collected at 12pm, allowing teachers and parents to meet and discuss individual progress, issues and goals. We are mindful of the fact that some students attend after school care, and therefore may not be able to be collected at 12pm. Supervision will be provided for these students. On School Site Thankyou again to all parents and carers for remember- ing social distancing requirements when entering school grounds. All adults are still required to follow the social distancing guideline on school site. We appreciate you remaining outside classrooms before and after school. Learning side by side We once again encourage you to drop off and pick up your child from outside school gates where possible — and support your childs independence! Semester One Reports As previously communicated to you, we will be sending home a Student Report for the semester in Week 10 this term. It will not have grades identified in each subject area due to interruptions to the teaching and learning program, however it will still provide information about the progress your child/ren have made this semester in spite of the interruptions faced. Dear Greenmount families,

What's Happening Next Term?

With most school routines back to ‘normal’ we have

been able to pencil in some dates for scheduled activ-

ities next term. Please check the updated calendar of

events in today’s newsletter and the Term Planner

uploaded onto our school website.

One important date to note is the starting date for

Term 3. As the Department of Education has given

schools an additional School Development Day due

to the interruption of COVID-19, staff will be engaging

in Professional Learning on Monday 20th July, and

students will be returning to school on Tuesday 21st

July.

We have also rescheduled the

Parent Interview day originally

planned for Term 1. This will now be

held on Tuesday 4th August. On

this day, school will be closed

from 12pm, with interview times

being available from 12.30pm –

6pm.

This means that students will need to be collected at

12pm, allowing teachers and parents to meet and

discuss individual progress, issues and goals. We are

mindful of the fact that some students attend after

school care, and therefore may not be able to be

collected at 12pm. Supervision will be provided for

these students.

On School Site

Thankyou again to all parents and carers for remember-

ing social distancing requirements when entering school

grounds. All adults are still required to follow the social

distancing guideline on school site. We appreciate you

remaining outside classrooms before and after school.

Learning side by side

We once again encourage you to drop off

and pick up your child from outside school

gates where possible — and support your

child’s independence!

Semester One Reports

As previously communicated to you, we will be

sending home a Student Report

for the semester in Week 10 this

term. It will not have grades

identified in each subject area due

to interruptions to the teaching

and learning program, however it

will still provide information

about the progress your child/ren

have made this semester in spite

of the interruptions faced.

Colour Fun Run

The Colour Fun Run is back and now even bigger!

Due to restrictions changes coming in to effect on Saturday 27th June we have some exciting news!

We will be holding the Colour Run on Friday 3rd July 2020, the last day of Term 2! Students will eat their lunch and then the fun will begin from 1.30pm.

This will be a FREE DRESS DAY, so come along dressed in the clothes you are going to get coloured in!

This will be held on the Bottom Oval with coloured powder and water squirters! Dress up in your whites or old clothes and come and get messy!

ALL students are able to join in with the fun!!

Every student who raises $10 can choose a prize! Visit the website at https://schoolfundraising.com.au/ and create an account online for your child/ren if you haven’t done so already. Fundraising Online and for cash orders will be open until Friday 24th July (Term 3 Week 1). You will then have until Tuesday 4th August to select your prize. These are then shipped to the school for distribution.

Students in the Kindy Group A (Monday/Tuesday Students) will have their Colour Run on Tuesday 30th June from 1.30pm.

Parents are welcome to come along and watch and join in with the kids!

Groups will be sent off in “waves” of about 30 to minimise congestion at the Colour sections.

Based on all the latest updates and health advice we ask that everyone continues with their hand washing and hygiene practices and please stay home if you are unwell.
