SAM Subwoofers: 7260A, 7270A, 7271A, 7350A Symmetrical Placement Equalizer A Symmetrical Placement Equalizer is now available in AutoCal. The Symmetrical Placement Equalizer compensates for the room effects that exist in both monitors in a stereo pair. This feature is selected as the default and will be automatically used for each front Left-Right monitor pair when the monitor pair is placed symmetrically in the grid (see the example below for monitors in L6 / R6 or L1 / R1). To calculate individualized monitor equalizations, remove the check mark in ‘Each front Left-Right pair shares the same equalizer settings’. Note also that the monitor models used in the stereo pair must be the same for the Symmetrical Placement Equalizer to be applied. If the monitor models are not the same, then individual equalization will be used. Genelec always recommends using the same monitor model is a stereo pair.
