Fun & Movement
Mass Activity
Reviewing what was learned previously.
Sliding! Bean Bag Activities!
Added element: Learning to pace with their partners.
In pairs, the children will slide with a hula-hoop around them.
Each pair will slide to the centre and collect a bean bag from the stool,
then proceeding to slide to the other end and
pass all equipment to the next pair.

The receiving pair will then slide to the centre,
place the bean bags on the stool and
head to the other side.
Children learn to pace themselves with their friends and develop spatial awareness
as the avoid knocking into the stool as they pass.
Next, children will run in pairs to the centre,
collect a bean bag and
.balance it on their heads as they walk to the other end!
This helps to develop their relationship awareness
(how part of the body relates to one another when moving, how the child relates to people and objects)
body awareness
(locomotor and manipulative skills) and
spatial awareness
(moving in space).

Individual classes
Love 1 & 2
Sitting in a circle, the Love children develop their object manipulation skills as they practise rolling the ball.
Rolling the ball to the friend whose name has been called out.
Children learn to listen, look, aim, and then roll the ball to their friend.
They also have to be alert and be ready to receive the ball when their names have been called.
While the others also have to be focussed as the ball might deter from its destination.

The Joy & Peace first begin by running and galloping round the cones for their warm up.
Some are still learning to gallop!
Splitting up into 3 groups, with half the group positioned opposite the other,
the children take turns to roll the ball to their group mate standing opposite.

The challenge: to roll the ball through the group's colour cones without hitting them!
As they improve in their rolling skills,
the level of difficulty then increases as the distance between the cones become smaller!
After the drill, the children played a mini game of tunnel ball!
Each group forms a line and spread their feet wider apart...
The first person then runs to the back of the line with the ball and rolls it through the group's legs

The person in front will have to catch the ball and run to the back and roll it through again.
This cycle goes on till the first group successfully passes the cones placed!
If the ball is stuck midroll, the groupmates can aid in rolling the ball forward!
