Andy is part of the T-Bone Guide Service crew. Andy is a very ac- complished multi-species angler, but I know he love chasing the big girls. FROM THE MEMBERSHIP CORNER… FROM THE MEMBERSHIP CORNER…

The month of May will be our last meeting until September. Two important events are

Take a Kid Fishing Saturday May 4th at Musky Tales on Channel Lake. Following

the vent there will be a cook-out for everyone participating! The next important date is

Saturday May 18th which is the Annual FRV’s Challunge on the Chain Tourna-

ment. More details are on in the newsletter and on the Website. On the Membership

end, the Chapter is holding at the 265 members. We have had good turn-out all year for the monthly meet-

ings! Many months have exceeded our expectations. Our monthly meetings generate new members and we

offer a fast and easy membership renewal service available to all existing members. We try very hard to

make our meetings fun and interesting to all. If you have suggestions to enhance or improve the meetings, we

are open to hear from you! Over the next three months we will have very little contract with our members

due to the summer break; so it is important for all to be diligent about not letting your membership expire!

Remember everyone’s support is important to the Fox Valley Chapter. Enjoy the summer, fish often and

share your sport with others. A Little trivia: Gone fishin. “ Those words evoke countless memories. Dangling

your feet off a dock on a lazy summer afternoon while fishing for pan-fish with a cane pole ! You are wel-

come to contact me via email, if you have a question concerning your membership. Have a great summer!

RON FREDRICK TACKLE SALE!!! Many of us who knew Ron, knew him as Mr. Mupco! His sense of humor and contagious smile made him friends to many of us in the FRV Chapter! Ron was an active FRV member who served on our board for many years as our Speaker Director. We spent many nights at board meetings in my basement spinning yarns about fishing up North and laughing until we cried!! Hard to believe that Ron has been gone for two years already; but his legend lives on! His fishing tackle “estate” has been taken over by his son-in law Kurt Dietrich who is trying to sell off some of his tackle. You would need to see it to believe how much gear Ron owned! Many FRV members have been through Kurt’s tackle shop he has set up in his garage. So many lures, hundreds of them, rods, reels, tackle boxes more than you could ever imagine; Ron had. Many baits are brand new in the package including many MI commemorative lures with Chap-ter 39 numbered on them. Kurt is selling off all of these items for literally pennies on the dollar! All proceeds of the sales go to Ron wife Carol. What makes the sale of this special to Kurt and Ron’s family is knowing his FRV friends will be using these lures and rods and reels to catch fish and we all know that Ron would be happy knowing his lures and

tackle are being put to good use! If you want to set up a time to go by Kurt’s house in Bartlett and browse and shop, Kurt’s number is 630-341-9078. You’ll be amazed at how Kurt has everything set up, his garage has been turned into a tackle shop! Hope you can help out their family and pick up some great fishing gear at an unbelievable price!

Many thanks to Mike Pierce and Eric Vizanko for spending their day today posting Musky information signs all over the Chain! Mike was instrumental in the design of these signs and worked

with the sign company to get them made! Thanks to you and Eric for taking the day to get these installed all over the Chain! This will definitely help the anglers on the Chain get educated in the catch and release of muskies safely on the Chain. Thanks for all of your efforts!
