Dear Church Family, It’s Day 8! “’til all that’s false is finally gone – Truth is Marching On!” - this line from one of last week’s songs has been echoing in my mind this week. There is so much that is false in our world – false ideas and false gods. But you and I know the truth and The Truth. I rejoice that truth is marching on. This week in our Come to the Lord’s Table devotional challenge, we will examine our hearts. Is there anything that is false – false ideas or false gods – that you have embraced. It is time to repent and cleanse your life through embracing the power of God’s grace and mercy. Last Sunday, we welcomed Ken and Carolyn Frazier, MacKenzie Porter and Daniel Panzica into our church membership. I was reminded by their coming how blessed we are at FBC Brookhaven. We are enriched by being a multi-generational church that ministers to one another and seeks to share the gospel here and around the world. Even this week, we have a mission team at Casa de Fe in Ecuador. Please pray for them as they work to help Patti Sue Arnold and her workers care for the special needs children in this haven in the jungle. Our Student Ministry is having a great summer. I was blessed by the testimonies of what God did during summer camp. Next is Super Summer for those students who have worked all year to qualify for this Discipleship/Evangelism training week. Then around the corner is our annual Disciple Now Weekend. It promises to be another spiritual highpoint in the lives of our students. Look for details coming soon and make sure your student and their friends attend.
I love you in the Lord, Bro. Greg

It’s simple! Go to our church website, www.fbcbrookhaven.org, click on the Give link on the end of the Blue Banner, click on the First Time? box, and fill in the information on the page and submit. Good morning Church Family,
In preparaon for an observance of the Lord’s Supper on July 29th, our church
began a study this week wri$en by Claude V. King entled, “Come to the Lord’s
Table”. Our first week’s sessions centered on remembering who Jesus is and what
exactly He did. This is one of the most important theological and doxological
exercises a believer can pracce. Studying and remembering the specifics and the
details from the Word of God about the life and ministry of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ has profound impact on how well we remember our part in the
salvaon story. The passion of Jesus was first and foremost to obey God and
bring Him glory. The effects of the works of Jesus are FREE to all who believe. We
are the redeemed. Jesus is the Redeemer! We should remember and remember
this o4en.
The doxological implicaons of remembering are personal and corporate. Every
me I read the narrave of Christ I worship Him. Every me we meet together for
worship we unite under the banner of the Risen Lord. Worship is a response to
revelaon. Worship is also a response to remembered revelaon. We remember
together today in song the work and life of Christ. Join me as we worship.
I love you all more than you know!
