same time sample.

The FREERIDE INFO BASE is the base camp and the com-prehensive source of information for all powder snow skiers. It includes:

• Panorama picture from bird view with guiding system

• Route descriptions

• Route indications

• Outdoor screen for reports on avalanches, snow and weather

• Digital display of avalanche warning levels

• Topographic map with inclination of the slope

• Description & tips in regard to the avalanche warning level

• LVS-device checker

• W-LAN hotspot

• Hotlines, emergency numbers and points of interest

• Advertising surface

More than that - design follows content!

With the idea to give the FREERIDE INFO BASE a unique, original design, the international designer office Walking-Chair with headquarters in Vienna entered the scene. From the get-go it was not only about the visual effects, but also about functionality. The process from the first draft to the actual engineering was all in one hand. „Design follows content“, says Karl Emilio Pircher, one of the two Walking Chair designers.

This is why the base camp is not simply a board on two stilts, but an organic form fitted into the environment with lots of software. The FREERIDE INFO BASE surface can be adjusted according to corporate design and other design requests. Depending on snow conditions it is adjustable in height and can be adjusted to account for impairments through sun and wind.
