FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

A “Faculty Development Programme”, covering various aspects of Industry-

institute Interaction was organised by the Department of Production Engineering in

collaboration with the following industries. It was held in these industries throughout

the day on the respective dates.

1. Mutual Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Vasai, on 28th & 29th of November 2018.

2. Mutual Automotive Pvt. Ltd., Pune, on 01st December 2018.

3. Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive Division), Kandivali, 10th December 2018.

4. Designcell CAD-CAM solutions Pvt. Ltd., Vasai, on 05th January 2019.

The objective was:-

To get adequate practical exposure to intricacies involved in designing,

manufacturing and quality monitoring in industries.

To get a better insight into the shop floor practices and modern technological

advancements in manufacturing.

Outcomes:-

1) Faculty members are able to bridge the gap between curriculum and current

technological advancements in manufacturing.

2) The Industry - Institute Interaction has created a foundation for practical

opportunities available in the industries for academia.
