About CE Department

Owing to tremendous growth in the infrastructure sector in India and abroad, the demand of civil engineers has been on the rise. To fulfill the growing demand and to cater to the engineering needs of the na�on, the ins�tute offers B.Tech degree course in civil engineering which is four year engineering degree program U�ar Pradesh Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University/ U�ar Pradesh Technical University. The under graduate program provides rigorous analy�cal study along with realis�c prac�cal solu�on. The latest surveying techniques with remote sensing are the important features of curriculum.The teaching of structural analysis with CAD drawing and design using latest so�ware, along with instrumenta�on and

field studies provide all elements for producing a good civil engineer. The gain in knowledge of student from prac�cal experience from the field studies to building industries, real estates, bridges, high ways, flyovers, dams, and irriga�on structure are top priori�es of academic program.The department of civil engineering came into existence from the session 2008-2009 and four batches have passed out so far. The department started with sanc�oned intake of 60 students and presently it has enhanced sanc�oned strength of 120 students. The department has an excellent industrial interac�on and contributes to the industry by offering consultancy services.

About FDP

The demand of high rise buildings due to scarce cost of land in metro cities are increasing day by day. The robust and stable structural design under high seismic zone/wind condition is the challenge of structural Engineering. This FDP is aimed to elaborate the National and International code/procedure of design practices being followed to design of high rises under stringent seismic and wind conditions. The hands on practice and demonstration of softwares like ETAB and SAFE is the part of FDP. The FDP is useful for practicing structural engineers, faculty of structural engineering domain & consultants.

Programme Objectives

The programme aims at advancing teacher’s skills and knowledge those are essential for basic application of structural engineering to real life project and understanding the complexity of design applications in real l i fe complex geometrically challenging structural system.

Outcome
