Facebook has added more ways for users to control what shows up in their news feeds • Facebook will now allow users to see a list of the top friends, Pages
and Groups that account for the most posts in their news feeds every week. This can be viewed as an aggregate or sorted by people, pages or groups posts.
• Through this list, users can restrict the number of posts they see from a given friend or brand, as opposed to only having the choice to hide them completely. Users can update and change these settings at any time.
• This gives more control over users to choose who, and how much content, they see in their news feed.

Why it matters to brands? • The new list feature means that it will be easier for users to keep tabs on brands
that are over sharing and hide, unfollow, or turn down the amount of posts they see for poor posts, or too many posts.
• The “see fewer posts” option will allow users to stay connected to brands while
limiting what they see—while before they only had the choice to follow or not follow, this is less a drastic way that they can choose to view less branded content easily.
