your personal information, comments and photos could be made public, there are

some steps you can take to reduce the chance of this

happening.


What you can do…

Basics – lock down contact info and profile info

Applications – delete unwanted, or edit sharing settings

Consider who you want your

information shared with – or select ‘Custom’ for fine-grained

controls.


Control how people contact you – who can search for you, send you messages

and post on your wall



Control whether you

have to review ‘tags’

before Facebook publishes

them

Review apps that can interact with

your personal information


Remove any unwanted

applications


Control what information your friends’ applications

can see about you


Change what Facebook’s

“Partner websites” can see

about you


See what information you allow to be shared

with Search Engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo
