Children’s Faith Formation program is taking registrations and re-registrations for the school year 2011 – 2012. Please remember that any sacramental preparation is a two year catechetical process. Please come to the office for the forms. Your child’s baptismal certificate is absolutely nec-essary for registration. And 1/3 de-posit is due at time of registration.

Science Fair... The state science fair was held May 6th and 7th at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Holy Family was well represented as Kevin Quick, Max Eichhorn, and Alex Williams were awarded Gold Medals and Chris-topher August was awarded a silver medal. We are so proud of them all!

Congratulations and goodbye...We would like to congratulate the 8th Grade class on their graduation from Holy Fam-ily School. As they begin a new chapter in their lives, we pray that they continue to call upon God for guidance and to remember to live as Christ wants them to live. Congratulations and God bless!

Upcoming events...Each Saturday from now until October, Holy Family will be hosting a Farmer's Market in the park-ing lot of the school. The market will run from 8:00am-12:00 noon, and will feature a variety of items for sale. If you are interested in becoming a vender, applications are in the school office.

Raffle for the Benefit of our School Children! The Grand Prize is $10,000!!!

Come join us on Friday, June 10, for Dinner, Beverages, Fun (all included in the ticket price)

and to see if you won the Grand Prize.

Here’s how it works:

One person can buy the $100 raffle ticket and attend the 6 p.m. dinner or, if ten people chip in at $10 apiece, they too can come and enjoy the salad, pizza, adult beverages and soda! The festivities will be held in the Holy Family School gym at 145 E. Grand Ave. in Bensenville. The raffle itself will begin at 7 p.m. The way it works is that we will begin calling down the winners so that the suspense really builds as we head towards picking the $10,000 winner. Of course, the winner does not need to be present. Be sure to give us your phone number so you can be contacted if you win!

Tickets are on sale in the lobby today after Mass or, during the week, in the St. Joseph Parish office and in the Holy Family School office

Baptisms: Pre-baptism Class is required before your date will be set. Please register two to three months in advance.

Weddings: Spiritual Preparation begins at least SIX months in advance. Do not make your res-ervations until you have met with pastor.

Sacrament of the Sick: First Fridays 7:30 am. & Communion Visits: Call the Parish Office.

Time, Talent & Treasure Fostering Stewardship as a way of life

This week’s Stewardship of Time & Talent Salute In gratitude of God’s gifts of time and talent to us,

Stewardship Thought for the Week In today’s gospel we go back in time to listen to Jesus as he gives instructions at the Last Supper. His words speak to all of us as he is preparing us to be sent out into the world to proclaim his Good News. The gift of the Holy Spirit is poured out upon the entire community of faith to do this work, not just a few. No one is to be excluded. Are we in-clusive of everyone in our community? Are there those we choose to exclude because we don’t like them?
