Computer software

Safari

• Safari helped me to obtain useful information to help create my media product such as research into our target audience /market we were able to gather information from the sites that safari helped to generate; further more it helped us come to a decision on what /who our final target market would be .it additionally helped generate useful information for marketing ideas

• It also helped us with inspirations for our digi-paks we were able to search other artist’s albums and be inspired by it this helped contribute to our final digipak

• It also helped to solve problems with photo-shop as I was able to research ways in which I could edit certain images and add layers all in all it helped make the photo-shop process run more smoothly

• Without it would have been impossible to blog or communicate our processes along the way

Final cut express • Final cut express is what I have used to help create part of my media

product I have had previous experience with this technology in AS whilst creating my thriller opening . It takes patience and time to use final cut express more so than last years experience as I had to match the lip synch with the audio to make the music video appear professional . In addition I used a lot of effects whilst editing my music video such as experimenting with the colour grading and the opacity of the clips experimenting with speeds,motion,split screens and more. The whole process was enjoyable and took a lot of determination and effort . All in final cut helped the final product come together and all our ideas come to life

Photoshop

• Using photo-shop was a new experience for me as I have never used this technology before it helped construct my digi-pak and magazine advert .

• At first it was a painstaking process. As it was new it took a lot of perseverance and patience to get the hang of the different tools within photo-shop. such as editing a picture or adding text .However once using it over a extended period of time it was easy to construct my media product . Using layers was essential when editing different panels of the digi-pak and magazine advert . I made use of the paint brush tool to decorate my digi-pak positioning the layers in the correct order helped create a consistency with the colour .

Social media • I used face-book, twitter ,BBM and blogger• To obtain feedback and help promote my music video .twitter and

Facebook are ways in which established artist help promote themselves and upcoming singles etc. we decided to use these marketing tools to help promote our artist they are easy and free ways to do so .

• Blogger allowed me to present my research and ideas and the planning process of our music video

YouTube• YouTube was an essential tool throughout this process as we were able to

gain inspirations from other music videos . We were also able to produce interviews and upload them in order to get feedback and helpful information . Furthermore we were able to view different ways in which certain creative shots were filmed

• In addition it was helpful for searching up tutorials for final cut express and Photoshop this helped us gain vital information on how to do certain things within the two programs such as using the colour corrector within final cut . And certain tools within photo-shop such as the paint brush
