The 411 The Making of Tipse: Jayquan Crittenden aka Tipse has been rapping and creating beats since the 7

th

grade. His outlook on life for the past 3 years has been failure is NOT an option.

Tipse is young, vibrant and full of energy and he exudes a certain stage appeal that has been missed in the

hip hop genre. Tipse is paving the way for a highly successful career in Music and T.V.

Tipse was influenced by artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, T.I. and Juelz

Santana, and producers such as Cool & Dre, Swizz Beats, & Droopie.

At the age of 19 , he signed with Swagg Genius Entertainment , after his popular club single “Jerkin

Holdin My Fitted Cap”. In 2009 his independent mixtape “Damn They’re Famous” was released, which

featured the street anthem “Swagg or the Cash”.

Who has Tipse worked with: Tipse has shared the stage with artist such as Lil Zane, G.Malone, Jay

Rock, Mike Jones, Jim Jones, Suga Free, Marques Houston and other local artist.

Tipse’s Vision: Tipse is a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word, utilizing all the major social

media networking sites to help grow his fan base, street team and gain respect in his genre as well as in

business. Within the past year Tipse’s street buzz has gotten so big that he has found himself inspiring

and motivating other local teenagers to join his movement.

From that experience Tipse was inspired to formulate his crew known as SMASH.

Tipse and SMASH can be seen on any given day hitting the streets and forming street teams to help

continue to push his vision, which is to bring his music and his teams music to a store near you.

Within the past year Tipse’s street buzz has catapulted to unprecedented numbers which has helped him

continue to inspire and motivate other local teenagers to join his movement. Creating one of the largest

street teams on the west coast known as SMASH.

Tipse and Zane helps to bring in Music Video Director BENNY BOOMS Birthday Bash

It was a night of fun to remember. The stars were out and shining bright.

EOTM (Press Release) – Jul 25, 2010 – It was a star studded event with Music Video Director

Benny Boom being the star of the show. Benny was celebrated along with models Jae Michelle

and Starr. The birthday bash was hosted by model Beauti Davis, who kicked off the festivities.

The crowd partied like "ROCK STARS" to performances that featured Rapper/Actor Lil Zane

and Rapper Tipse, who tore the stage up.

Lil Zane and Tipse had the crowd rocking as they gave them a sample of their new music,

which included, "Dripping Wet" and "Put It In My Lap". Lil Zane also surprised the crowd

with one of his throw back cuts, "Anytime", which he was featured with R&B Group 112.

Some of the more notable faces who celebrated the birthday bash with Lil Zane and Tipse were

drummer Sammy "Punky" Balfour IV, NBA players Marcus Williams of the Charlotte

Bobcats, Bobby Brown aka. LB of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Brandon Heaths aka.

Bottoms of the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as a host of models.

Rappers Tipse and Lil Zane surprises contestants at BET 106&Park Auditions for Blaze the

Stage in Los Angeles

West Coast Blaze the Stage, contestants competed for the chance to perform on BET’s 106&Park Wild

Out Wednesdays. Pat Charles himself, head writer of the show, flew all the way in from NY to sit on the

judge’s panel in Los Angeles.

performers in front of Pat Charles, BET’s top executive, but when Lil Zane hopped on stage exuding

years of experience, high energy, and an octane performance, the bars were raised dramatically.

Zane rocked the stage with a new up and coming west coast artist by the name of Tipse, who kicked off

their performance with the throwback cut, “Anywhere”, then later hit the crowd with a track off of his

new mix tape, titled, “Put it in my Lap”.

At the closing of the program Zane was brought back on stage to enlighten the 106&Park hopefuls with

advice on the industry and helped the rising stars to stay motivated, grounded, and to never give up on

their dream. “Rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse, learn this business front to back and keep it original”, was

the nugget Zane shared with the teens before walking off the stage.

Lil Zane most recently launched his new tour, “The Follow me Tour”, his return to the music industry.

For the past couple years Zane has had roles in “A Day in the Life”, “Cold Case”, “Motives”, “The

Fighting Temptations”, “Dr. Doolittle 2”, “Finding Forrester” and more.
