Learn the function and proper use of the EKG machine, and how to perform electrocardiograms. Prepare to take the Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam and work as part of a healthcare team of professionals. EKG technicians work in physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Program Requirements You must be a Maryland resident. Must have a high school diploma. You must need help with English, reading, and/or math skills. You must be ready to study hard and to work in healthcare. Background in healthcare preferred (CNA/GNA certified) Program Benefits FREE classroom and clinical training to prepare you for the EKG Technician exam. Classes to help you with English, reading, and math skills for the test and job. Computer skills to help you on the job. Help finding a job, keeping a job, and moving up to the next job.
