Electrocardiograph Technician (EKG) Course Dates: February-June 2020 (Monday–Thursday) • 6-9 p.m. Program Description: Improve your English, math, reading, study, computer, and work-related skills. Learn the function and proper use of the EKG machine, and how to perform electrocardiograms. Prepare to take the Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam and work as part of a healthcare team of professionals. EKG technicians work in physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Program Requirements • You must be a Maryland resident. • Must have a high school diploma. • You must need help with English, reading, and/or math skills. • You must be ready to study hard and to work in healthcare. • Background in healthcare preferred (CNA/GNA certified) Program Benefits • FREE classroom and clinical training to prepare you for the EKG Technician exam. • Classes to help you with English, reading, and math skills for the test and job. • Computer skills to help you on the job. • Help finding a job, keeping a job, and moving up to the next job.
