Adult ESOL & Literacy Grant Program (MI-BEST/IELCE)

The Adult ESOL Program provides basic English language and life skills instruction to Maryland residents whose native language is not English. This program is unable to provide services to F1 and J1 visa holders. You must

be eligible to work in the USA. Please see the FAQ section of our website for more details.

Electrocardiograph Technician (EKG) Course Dates: February-June 2020 (Monday–Thursday) • 6-9 p.m.

Program Description: Improve your English, math, reading, study, computer, and work-related skills. Learn the function and proper use of the EKG machine, and how to perform electrocardiograms. Prepare to take the Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam and work as part of a healthcare team of professionals. EKG technicians work in physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Program Requirements • You must be a Maryland resident. • Must have a high school diploma. • You must need help with English, reading, and/or mathskills. • You must be ready to study hard and to work inhealthcare. • Background in healthcare preferred (CNA/GNA certified)
